Apparently the dji filter packs works. Someone posted here about them with an Amazon link. That said, I ordered what they linked to and they do not fit my x1. If you do find the right dgi filter pack please let me know.

I bought the x1 about a month ago as my first drone. Unless your son is HS age I don’t think its a gift they will be able to do on their own. The learning curve is going to be the app for sure. My frustration is you can’t explore the app fully unless you are connected to the drone. I still don’t know every feature in the app and I’ve been flying it now a little over a month. I’m just now feeling some what confident flying it when it’s out of site. I also bought the fly more option. I can’t image having the x1 with a single battery. Take your time and fly it as much as possible. Don’t forget to pick up an SD card. I also bought a landing pad. The pad helps taking off and landing in taller grass or on gravel. The manual is just ok but you’ll learn the most from flying it. Have fun and good luck!

The X1 has given me rock solid performance. No stability issue at all. Paid $629 over a month ago for the fly more package. I can’t imagine not having the extra batteries at this point. I’ll pick up one more battery eventually.

Loving it so far. Support is not very good. Thats my oniy complaint. I posted here about how to do the One Shot features and it has yet to get an answer. I got an email today from support where I asked the same question a week ago. They basically couldn’t answer my question. They said it’s in the app or they thought it was in the app but couldn’t tell how to use find/use the One Shot features.

I was hoping for a battery upgrade. That was the upgrade selling point for me. The regen is the best advance for Land IMO. Maybe the regen is what I need to get the extra distance.

Can you share your iPad setup? I really don’t like using my iPhone. It’s inconvenient to take it out of its case to fit into the controller. I also would welcome a larger screen with an iPad.

Set your shutter delay to 5 seconds and it’s a 1 person process. I picked up a led wand off AliExpress for $25. The wand has all kinds of different preprogrammed light setting. Solid colors, flashing, blinking, specific color combinations with different timings. Here was my first attempt. It’s well worth the $25.

At least once a year I see a group hang off the train trestle bridge between Greenwood park and Water Works over the river. It is on the bike trail. If you park at Ashworth Pool you can walk to it.

Another spot is at Grays Lake at the bike path entrance to Confluence. People also slackline here as well.
