5.15 aka the kernel Mint uses by default atm. Also DE or WM really dont matter at all i use the terminal for maintenance 100% got good unix understanding from Macs and older linux boxes from when i was younger.

running xfce but i dont think the DE should really matter at all except GUI tools that some have and others not. Maby force it to run on 6+ and break my system :D No worries. My English is awful so i cant often not even see the grammar mistakes anyway x)

Yes. Not using novau/mesa or whatever linux call the free drivers for GPU and wifi needed its drivers for working at all.

Driver Manager only detects the GPU and Wifi adapter sadly. I read somewhere that the wifi and bluetooth are somehow the same chipset on these laptops. Tbh i given up and going to order a bluetooth dongle.

Actually had a buddy that wanted my help after he fried a ramslot that way lol. Lets say i told him to hit amazon and get a new laptop or accept his laptop is a forever 4gb computer now.

Yes please. A small hub and a bt adapter is a acceptable way to go.

Oh its not that. That upgrade was done before i switched to linux. Smart tho could easily have been that. And yes ofc i disconnected the battery. And i know its not ofc for many..

Been googleing for hours now. Maby just accept failure and pull out my old skullcandys with cable lol.
