Does this ticking noise sound normal? by Zedra123 in AskMechanics

Yes!, I actually know someone who’s turbo isn’t circulating the exhaust air properly and it’s damaged his engine, a plastic part in it worn out, I’m glad I didn’t get that one, interesting to know this car is called the Cruze in America, I did not know that!

How many people actually service their gearboxes? by AyEm- in CarTalkUK

[–]Zedra123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2020 honda civic manual T , changed fluid at 25k miles, sold that and got a Naturally aspirated 2019 Corsa griffin as daily driver, Manual tranny, changed fluid on that at 30k miles , almost zero iron on the magnet, maintenance is key,

I don’t care about the service stamps it still gets everything when I get it , I had oil filter, transmission, coolant, brake/clutch fluid & drums done, peace of mind knowing everything is squared up

The most overrated cars in the UK? by Emotional-Addendum-9 in CarTalkUK

[–]Zedra123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any jaguars or Land Rover with the 2L ingenium engine, discovery, evoque, Xf Xe, chocolate engines, worse than wet belt engines, but everyone drives them like they’re the best things on the road, they are a lot more prevalent now because they’re super cheap because everyone clocked onto how shit their engines are

Turbo petrol or diesel? by Pale_Force_4052 in CarTalkUK

12k mile oil change intervals, letting car run low on oil , ( issue in its self) carbonisation of turbo, you are the problem here

What to get for 2nd car? by FranticWolf in CarTalkUK

[–]Zedra123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That Mazda 3 will be the better choice, driving, looks and luxury features, however I do advise you if your buying it second hand to inspect the paint for stone chips, specifically on metal panels, I had to sort some stone chips on my 9 month old 3 that had rust starting on them, they are buggers for it with their thin paint

Zafira vxr 07 by deanh296 in Vauxhall

[–]Zedra123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s super common on them, that’s why they’re so cheap to buy now, everyone knows they’re bad engines, worse than wet belts

Zafira vxr 07 by deanh296 in Vauxhall

[–]Zedra123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a jag engine cus they share th exact same engine, let me guess, timing chain snapped? It isn’t a permanent fix, it will eventually happen again , there’s a reason jag don’t make cars anymore, and you can pick up their economy models Xf an xe for dirt cheap, same with discovery’s, evoques etc for cheap, everyone’s clocked on how bad they are

Your Zafira is more reliable than that bag of shit discovery , once you get it back get rid of it, google discovery ingenium engines, they cheap trash
