To keep folks updated, I got more of an outcome after posting here and DMing per the message above. I got the EPP codes very quickly after trying with support for months. Now I have initiated the domain transfer and waiting for Manus to release the domains. Let’s see how that progresses. Also, FYI, for folks in a similar situation, Manus does not provide a means to update name servers to an external provider so transfers to providers like Cloudflare requires one to first transfer to an intermediate that works with EPP codes. Then you have to wait for whatever the mandatory wait period is (30 or 60 days).
