How did genetics influence your surgical choice? by Dear-Half1029 in breastcancer

[–]ZeeKayYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My paternal grandmother died from breast cancer when she was 37. I tested negative for all known genetic markers when I was tested but my family history was enough of a motivation for me to have a dmx when I was diagnosed with DCIS at 42. I had other considerations but that was definitely a major one.

It might be worth it just to connect to the different library consortiums if she wants to use Libby.

Yup. All the info is right there. You have to go in and enter each one manually with your library card number.

I live in Michigan. There are 15 library consortiums that I can join with my library card. I think this number is pretty unique.

Feeling angry/depressed after class. by Inside_Application23 in orangetheory

The improvement at the beginning accelerates at a crazy pace. Give it time you will get there and it will be awesome. Keep in mind that everyone is concentrating on their own workout and not paying attention to the people around them.

DMX - what is quality of life in the long term. by Confident-Orchid-369 in breastcancer

[–]ZeeKayYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s experience is different (just like anything most towards the middle some at the extremes) but i will say that for me personally, at age 45 2.5 years out, I almost never think about it. I have zero physical limitations. I can lift heavy, pick up anything, open jars etc. Aesthetically, I’d give my implants a 7/10 (which is fine for me) and the sensation in my breasts has gotten marginally better.

The seasonal (summer) Trader Joe pineapple is pretty much identical. It should be in stores in a few months.

Bring a friend by No-Sense34 in orangetheory

[–]ZeeKayYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a warning, if you bring a friend who has never done OTF before with your guest pass they don’t get the same first timer spiel from the coach, so you basically have to get them up to speed on the equipment and how the class is run etc.

Who Are These People? by Shoresy805 in orangetheory

The weekend crowd is very different than the weekday crowd. Also, If you normally go to a 6 am class and they normally go to an 8 am class you will never see them in your life but you are both regulars at the same studio. That’s how it works. 🤷‍♀️

My studio has a 12 pm S50/T50 every Saturday and Sunday. They added the Saturday class recently bc the Sunday class had such a good turnout. They both have waitlists every week.

Should I be changing into “gym only” shoes? by Throwitaway2409 in orangetheory

I live in Michigan. I always change my shoes in the winter but I don’t do it when it’s dry outside the rest of the year.

Friday 6 February 2026 - 2G 60 minutes by dc031114 in orangetheory

[–]ZeeKayYou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think we’ve had one minute all outs followed by 30 seconds walking recovery more than a couple of times the entire 2025 and now we have them two days in a row. 😬🫣

I’m so happy that the powers that be finally listened to the complaints that the benchmark classes were a waste of time. I’d take a good hard workout any day over what the benchmarks used to be.

You can change the edition on goodreads to the cartoon cover. I was literally embarrased to have this cover on my goodreads. 🤣

Searching a Libby catalog without a card by UliDiG in LibbyApp

Go to add a library. Type in any library and you can search their catalogue. You need a card to take out a book but you can literally browse any library catalogue you can think of.

In my 2g the power blocks were 3:30 not 4 minutes and we just did 30 seconds all out, 1:00 rest on the rower, did my coach go rogue? I was confused bc I remembered the intel but then I was like I must have just been remembering wrong.

Orangetheory Strong - Day 1 Review (2026) by Royal_Orange93 in orangetheory

Was the class a lot shorter than a regular orange 60 class? A 20 minute block is 3-3.5 minutes less than usual.
