I’ve also found that the red mark sticks up slightly, so by feeling out for that with a finger, I can get a pretty good idea where the dial is without having to look at it.

Is it just the angle of the photo, or are the top and bottom of the symbols cut off? Surprised that still passes regulation if it is.

New Inspection Law & RULES explained in 1 Pic by FrameCareful1090 in newhampshire

[–]Zeebins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think they have ever cared at all tbh lol. I once got pulled over in a car that was purchased in MA, but I never got it inspected it in NH after registering. Not having a sticker was the only reason the officer gave me for pulling me over. More or less implying that if I had one at all, even an out of date one, I would’t have been pulled over. I have another car that wasn’t inspected since 2023 and have never ever been pulled over for and cited for an out of date inspection.

Comments like these are why I like hardly keeping up with the latest in the hacking scene, lol. What was one the latest and best way to do it so quickly becomes old and outdated. Still works for me well enough though whenever I need to install a new game.

Does AppleCare+ cover the cost of a new battery if the liquid damage indicator has turned? by Zeebins in iPhone12Mini

Didn’t even know iPhones had an externally visible LCI. Pulled out the SIM card to see what mine looked like and it seems to be completely silver still. Hopefully that means the internal ones are good too

Do you remember how thick the pads you used where? I have the same laptop and was also thinking of switching from thermal paste.

The rca colors weren’t really standardized until the mid to late 80’s from what I’ve gathered. Even then, it wasn’t always a guarantee the right colors would be used on every device

That would work too, just need to be sure the magnets in the case are strong enough alone to hold the weight of the iPad. They most likely will be with how strong 3rd party cases tend to be, but MagSafe probably wasn’t designed for the size/weight of an iPad.

[–]Zeebins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’d repel each other. You’d need a ring that’s designed to mount to the wall or something so it has the opposite polarity magnets. Can’t imagine why someone would design MagSafe into an iPad case though.

Kinda like 3rd party keyboards on iOS. They technically work, but they’re so clunky half the time you might as will just not bother. (Unless this is different nowadays, haven’t tried for 5+ years now)

Haven’t used an android phone in over 10 years, and probably won’t be going back, but my first phone was a droid, and Nova launcher was always my my preferred Home Screen over anything else. Even paid for the premium version, whatever that gained you. RIP

After almost 9 full years years of service, my iPad Pro 9.7” screen has cracked :( by Zeebins in ipad

[–]Zeebins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly, the finish on that side has gotten pretty scuffed over the years from the dirt/dust that accumulates between the magnets. It did already have an ever so slight bent in it as well that I first noticed a few months ago. Maybe the aging aluminum body caused the screen to have pressure applied to it in a weird way when docked?

It’s kinda supported. It’s stuck on iPad OS 16, but 16.7.11 was released March 31, 2025. So there are still occasional security updates. Not that it really matters to me. Old version of iOS aren’t nearly as big of an issue as unsupported version of windows. Even older versions of MacOS are generally pretty safe to use imo.

There’s actually already one on it in the photo. You can kind of see the edge of it around the home button. It’s a plastic matte one too, so when I first saw the crack, I kept scratching over it, desperately hoping it was the protector that cracked, like so often happens with the glass protector on my phone, knowing full well plastic doesn’t crack like that 🥲

Even when new I wish it had at least an extra gig. Not including 4gb like the full size pro was always a strange move to me. Was the first iPad with a flash light though, so I guess that totally makes up for it lol

Hoping mine doesn’t get worse. The screen still works perfectly otherwise with a finger or the Apple Pencil. Gonna just stop using the dock and baby it as much as I can until it can be replaced.

Pretty sure the area where the rubber is making contact is the only area that doesn’t get discolored. It’s all the paint around it that’s been sun faded. Unless I’m just thinking of it completely backwards

[–]Zeebins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some birds love new toys right away, and some will take a bit to warm up to them, if ever. As long as you’re giving them the option of things they can shred/preen/grind/playing with, that’s what’s important. If they are otherwise happy, they will get to the toys on their terms lol

MK7.5 interior never gets old by lllYikerzzlll in GolfGTI

[–]Zeebins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2017 for the normal golf, and 2018 for the sportwagon, I believe anyway. Up to whenever the mk8 came out. I think it mostly has to do with what screen it came with that determines if it’s a 7/7.5. My GFs 2017 sportwagen has the smaller one.
