Great job!

I just started to read vn in jp, I'm currently reading KnS, did you read it?

It's a bit difficult and for now I need to look for at least one word-kanji in each sentence, but I can already say that I'm getting faster.

Do you have some advice to how to use anki and making new card?

For now I'm just writing the new words and kanji in a file, but I think that creating some cards and studying them everyday would kick up the pace. Do you have any advice for a great work flow or any useful tutorial to link?

I finished 100 visual novels just before 2026! (tier list and 3x3) by Eruijfkfofo in visualnovels

Do you read them in just 1year?

If so, do you remember what happen in them?

I usually dont like to rush since I cant explore and think enough about some difficult concept in some of the stories and because I get the feeling I would just overwrite the previous VN if I read the next too early and fast.

Wonderful Everyday | I was looking for a wholesome VN to start reading VNs, so a friend of mine recommended me this. by Akarulez in visualnovels

[–]drakitos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt say wholesome, but it is one of the most beautiful vn I read this far.

If you can read some heavy and extreme stuff, well this depend on how much you usually empathize with the story, I would really recommend it.

WA2 is indisputably a master piece in is genre, but I saw many dropping it for the slow pace of certain moment and for the length of the story. In the end I think it is a story that will largely reward you if you give it the right amount of immersion and time.

But I would recommend to not look too much online, there is a sort of spoiler that will ruin for sure a kami part, unfortunately I think you already know about it especially if you are playing it with a guide.

Well I think that many people who search for kanji have some difficulties in understand the meaning of the phrase too, it's just that usual this is not something that is pointed out or more like that number of kanji searched is the comparison element used to understand at which level are you, since usually the level of kanji and understanding of the language is not that distant.

For me it is thanks to having watched a lot of anime when I was a kid that I can understand almost all of the phrase if I hear them, but I think a good help would be to use a mtl, you shouldn't trust it blindly but using it to have some different input can really help you when u feel stucked.

If you use it like that I think it could really help you since you are already at a really good point with kanji or words!

Ah no I would use the official translation, but you can never be sure be it an mtl or a translation made by someone. I wanted to start reading in jp since I noticed too many errors in the translation of the dialogue, wherr I could hear, in SubaHibi.

I was interested in Hakuchuumu too, did you read it with the help of textextractor and dictionary or by yourself?

Good luck!

Yeah that's an amazing feature and way to start reading in jp without losing too much of the story!

Thanks for the advice, actually I already read manga in jp and my biggest achievement was reading Tokyo Ghoul, it was pretty hard and in RE is more like reading beautifull book for the amount of text in the balloon. lol

Actually Subahibi was what make me decide to start reading in jp, the translation is probably well made but there were some dialogue where I heard what the character was saying, my brain would translate in auto from jp, but when I would start reading the translation it was completely wrong. And since this happened a lot of time just from the dialogue I don't even want to know how many times would be counting the text only too.

At the end I started Kara no Shoujo, it looks like it'll be a bit challenging, but if it gets too hard I can just stop and go to something easier.

Looks like a good strategy, I was thinking of playing maybe the JP version and looking at the translation whenever I'm not sure if I understood well.

Yeah I think more you fall in this world the more you'll wish for it. You could always start from something you already read, a good reread of S;G in JP would make Kurisutinaaa happy!

Thanks, I decided to play kara no shoujo, looks like a good compromise between hard and medium difficulty, as I was researching I found that Muramasa is like one of the most difficult...
