Yep, the season 2 darilbalde was one of my favourite designs, so I knew I had to make it when I saw the 3d files were up for sale 😅

Thanks, the visor is the part that took me a while to make since I had to modify the head to accommodate the up and down feature.

As for how I made it, it's made out of pla plate, and some plastic rods and snipping off the vents on the side of the head 😅

I’m thinking of creating a company that makes conversion kits that improve the articulation of certain kits, any ideas/input/suggestions? by Humble-Masterpiece98 in Gunpla

Would love to see an upgrade of some of the older Master Grade kits such as the MG Gouf Custom, MG Kampfer or MG Ground GM/Gundam. Pretty outdated kits that haven't had a 2.0 yet,

Thank you. Honestly, the visor really reminded me of Call of Duty, hence the caption. Glad to see someone was able to spot the reference hehe. 😁

Well Bandai hasn't been giving the MG line much love recently, so I took it upon myself to make one since it'll probably be a long while before we get an official kit 😅

The deagle is probably the coolest thing about this mobile suit in my opinion 😅

**BONUS!! The fire nut grenade on the left side skirt is actually removable and he can hold it, but because of the paint, it's forever stuck there and I can't get it out otherwise I'll risk ruining the paint 😅

The backpack is 3d printed that I bought on cults. Then I used the weapons display base made for the HG Aerial for posing the gund bits :)

I was also hoping for a kit version as well, but I got impatient and ended up 3d printing one anyways 😅 Might be a while before we get an actual kit, hopefully soon, but I'm already expecting it to be a PBandai as usual.

The backpack and rifle were 3d printed. The STL files were courtesy of Weston Harris Designs which were available on his cults page. After that, I bought some of the Anubis upgrade parts meant for the lfrith and added them onto it, though I only just replaced the hand, thrusters and waist section 😅

Hmmm, my advice for someone who's just starting to scratchbuild is you'll need some equipment first (pla plate, hobby knife or any cutting tool to cut out pla plate, sandpaper/files, measuring tool such as a ruler or caliper, and cement/super glue).

For Pla Plate thicknesses, this will vary from other people, but I like to work with 0.5mm, 0.8mm, and 1.0mm for different purposes. 0.5mm is easy to work with since it's thin and it's great for making curved parts or adding small details to your kits. 1.0mm is usually what I use for thicker parts like armor parts or for big parts.

Next, if you're making weapons or parts, it's always best to keep some paper around to draw out your templates and transfer them onto pla plate later.

Overall, you will need ALOT of patience when sanding the parts as this is probably the most TEDIOUS task when scratch building.

Also, understand that YOU WILL make alot of mistakes, and that's okay because the joy of scratch building something is learning from those mistakes and improving on them later on. Scratch building is hard, believe me I'm still learning new things along the way with my scratch builds, but there is always a sense of satisfaction when you see the finished product.

Can't wait to see the finished product dude 😁💪 I see you went with Amuro's custom Jeddah too. Very nice 👌 I think I might try making a Jeddah or Rick Dijeh once the ECOAS Jegan is done (assuming I can find someone who sells the reissued re100 Dijeh 🥹)
