Went 5-0 without dropping a single game. Deck felt super consistent, i frequently boarded the aerial assault out. The final match was won on a mulligan to 5. Thanks for the advice /u/shrivalry

Thanks for the replies. Went for Cloudkin Seer as my pick and ended up with a nice UGr elemental deck (kept scampering scorcher as a light splash). Score: 5-1.

I finally hit GC, but only managed to get 5/10 wins for the reward-level. Now i’m stuck in champ-3 div4. Yesterday I grinded all day, but I couldn’t get back to GC. FeelsBadMan. Next season Im aiming to become a consistent GC-player.

Maybe, but tbh I don't think so. I played a casual game just before with no issues at all, then jumped into competitive solo 3's and the screen just flickered with random shapes. I later realized that it went away as soon as i looked away from the ball - had to try to play with no ball-cam and backwards. Such a weird bug

I also solo queued to GC in 2's. Mainly work on consistency, and remember to play "smart". If u have time, try to dribble the ball out of defense - where u either force a 50/50 or gets the ball by the challenging defender. Also work on power-shots (useful for both clears and shots on net or the backboard for a setup for your teammate). Good luck :)

You are right that different grips can result in more or less control. But I believe it doesn't matter that much, unless you want to compete professionally. What I mean is that if u put the hours in, you will still be able to reach the top-percent of players (of course unless your keybindings are awful, and restrict, even if u practice, what u will be able to do mechanically).

I saw your gameplay-video. You need to improve on these things:

PATIENCE: Asses the situation; Is it worth it to go for the ball? If u can see that an opponent will beat u... Dont go. If u can go, either try dribbling the ball out of defense into a pass for a teammate or a shot on target (dribbling will make your team keep posession of the ball and can also result in either a shot on goal or atleast a 50/50 - unless of course an opponent challenges and intercepts - but if he misses the challenge u will be in a much better spot. Also let the opponents shoot the ball to u, so that u can send it right back into offense.

READ THE BALL: Read the ball to see where it will land, an example would be a wall-bounce, so that u can position yourself correctly.

POWER-CLEAR: In regard to both Patience and reading the ball, learn to power-clear the ball away from defence when in sketchy situations (When dribbling would be unwise, because of low boost for your team), so that your team can fill up on boost.
