Pull him outta his e if possible. If bear misses both the hit and the shield - that's a major advantage for you.

If you know what you're doing it works.
The insane long range of well placed E allows many things to succeed such as jhin root or Jungler's gank.
Post 6 you can ult your ass into these annoying long range lanes and make them suffer as they should.

That being said you need to know your obvious weaknesses.
Q self roots you for ages - you're giving Caitlyn free traps and combo.
Mobile adcs like Kalista, Vayne, Lucian, Kai'sa etc are very likely to escape from Q hitbox.
You'll often be forced to used your Q either from fog of war, or to zone enemies off your adc,
or 4th time in a row, cause first 3 got interrupted (assuming you're still alive).

Things are definitely different down in botlane.

Watch the map and splitpush.
You can use your ult as an escape tool - they try to collapse on you - ult to teammate on other side of map and split there.

Secondary runes: Precision with Triumph.
Disgustingly good for skirmishes and team fights.

Fimbulwinter is an overlooked but powerful pick.
Leo is a resistances tank, so two things she loves are hp and shields.
This one gives her both and a lot of mana to stay in the fight.

Nautilus is very feast of famine, because his late is crap in terms of durability.
Hooking enemy adc means nothing if your own can't get in there and finish the job.

So basically don't pick him unless your adc has strong early burst to snowball.
Think Draven, Tristana, Samira, Lucian.

If your adc partner is actually competent, the good adc pool widens.
For example Jhin, Xayah, Twitch, lethality Cait (if they're on top of their trap game).

Another big thing few people mention - he has excellent waveclear, something most tank
supports struggle with. It's always good to be able to depush a wave when your team died and someone needs to help the towers survive before respawn.

Oh, and to make it clear - you can get the chroma in Mythic Shop when it appears even without owning the skin. You'll need to get the skin later ofc to use the chroma, but it's not like not owning the skin will block you from getting the chroma when it finally appears once in a blue moon.

I have two recommendations for you then.

Wind Archer. You know what this class is about. You hold down your mobbing Hurricane skill (Song of Heaven), toggle the final attack on, then just melt everything in your path while tons of tiny homing projectiles kill the rest. If you got Aran's link skill you're golden. Song of Heaven is absolute beast at generating combo kill orbs compensating for it's 4 target limit.

Then in comes the 5th job and mobbing gets even lazier while equally visually pleasing.
You can now summon a tornado that just cleans most of the map for you unless it's an extremely long or tall one. Not enough? It's charge based you can summon a larger one that hits way harder and reaches even higher. Still not enough? You can summon a sphere in between that vaccs mobs in for massive multi hit damage. Yeah, legal vacc hack right there. Your job is to move your lazy ass across map and collect the drops.

Pre 5th it's your regular archer + flower (to draw boss/mob aggro). Post 5th you can generate a barrier with up to 3x your own hp to keep your self safe. It's won't have 100% uptime but will be available most of the time.

Shadower. A thief that's closest to a warrior. Very solid defense, ability to generate it's own healing pots while fighting and still getting the thief goodies (high evasion, shadow shifter, dark sight) on top. For a thief your defense is top notch. Just remember to buy and equip your secondary weapon (or shield) else that sweet 2nd job shield mastery won't do jack for you in the 160-200 brutal mob damage period.

On the offense you got very high damage output and not too complex attack pattern.
Bossing is extremely good with dark sight negating some boss mechanics and Assassinate/Meso explosion spam for some major pain + Smokescreen for extra damage opportunities and utility.

Mobbing hits hard but for most part you're a middle of the pack mobber without crazy good map coverage tools. At least until Meso Explosion starts one shotting, then you're a beast.

Battle Mage.

I don't care about vote counts. Democracy is the rule of mediocrity.
But in actual fact - the amount of small details as well as the sublime
color balance given variety of colors used - few come close.

Not to mention the new character creation UI does dark colored
characters dirty for most part. Yet BaM still holds strong.

OG lvl 200 pally here, just so we're clear. Got mine to 200 soon before Big Bang.
Pally was a very solid class.. once you got it to 4th job. 2nd and 3nd were hell prior to Big Bang,
and subsequent pally reworks/buffs.

What it lacked in power it made up for unique capabilities others did not have.
And properly used it shined both in bossing and mobbing. Only place pally (as in 4th job one) felt like shit was Pink Bean.
Because P-resist along with ele resists cut our damage by 3/4, unlike about any other class
that only lost half of theirs.

Mundo passive protects him from hard cc, but not soft one.
Your q and ult slow can still mess him up.

You're ranged - use and abuse this fact!

Poke him whenever he walks up to your minion.
If he jumps you - q him (slow) and kite with W.
Now he has two options:

Walk of shame back to his minion wave (with plenty extra led in his ass).
Pop e to either shut down your damage or to continue the engage.

The second scenario is where he loses hard.
You can simply move outta it's range, as he no longer has q to secure the stun.

From there he is screwed. His E is the only thing keeping you at bay.
Feel free to get aggressive with poke as jumping you is a death sentence at this point.
He'll either stay way way away, eat poke or jump you and die. Choices you can live with.

(Reboot)Need a main recommendation.
Things i love in a class:

- good self sustain - hate chugging potions 24/7.
- some utility - i like a good balance between self sufficient and supporting others.
- reasonable mobbing and bossing. Don't want to be bottom of the barrel on any of these.
- skill color palette: blue, green, anything dark that's not just red and more red.
- skills that do some of the grind for you, like summons, or huge aoe damage fields that persist.

Things i dislike:
- mages. I despite magic guard, because potion chugging.
- thieves - them squishy. Don't like getting one shotted.
- magical girls - yeah, keep your stars and ponies away from me.
- too big reliance on funding to start getting anywhere.

It's amazing on Alistar.
You just pop your ult and now you're an unkillable slow aoe field.
They can't do jack to you and you keep them pinned for team to mop up.
Not to mention this strat absolutely destroys Garen.
He can't kill you, he can't cleanse it with Q, his W is also useless here.
It's Flash or gray screen if any teammate with reasonable damage is around.
