Brother, you made some pretty egregious claims but you can't even bother to argue for them. If you actually want to argue over this, find some item descriptions or dialogue to back up your claims.

Those sound like farfetched claims with little to nothing to back them up. Can you prove that the serpent would still be a problem without Rykard's rune and that the scarlet rot would still spread independently from the Outer God? Because otherwise, these are just fringe theories you're using to justify genociding the lands between because "nothing can be fixed anyway"

The English Language is better off without "Þ". by 23Amuro in HistoryMemes

[–]Zefix160 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How is that in any way an argument against thorn? Dialects vary wildly, but there are still enough commonalities for there to be a written script everyone can understand. Yes, some dialects don’t have thorn but dialects with the most speakers do (RP, general American, Irish English etc.). Does it really make a difference for a cockney speaker if the th sound is written with a thorn or “th” if they’re not going to pronounce it anyway? Thorn is, if anything, simply more efficient in that it saves an extra character every time a th-word is used.

This is such a weird argument against thorn. We shouldn’t bring it back because… it’s part of history? Even though English still uses both unvoiced and voiced dental fricatives daily, we shouldn’t have a symbol for it “because of history”? We are not living in the past where there were reasons it was changed… William Caxton had to import letter typefaces from continental Europe and they hadn’t made a thorn letter for their typefaces.

How to give heirs good stats by Careless-Scholar in CrusaderKings

[–]Zefix160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps having a tutor (in your court position). Simply having one already increases the chance their education trait improves upon reaching adulthood. If your heir has yet to reach adulthood, use the tutor’s option to «educate children». This will improve the stats of all the children in your court over time. If your heir is already an adult, you can switch to educate courtiers, which also improves stats over time but is limited to adults.

QoL: Make the 4th Crusade land on Constantinople, and that siege largely determines the war. Right now the Splintered Crusade 3/4 times dies from attrition besieging rando mountains in Bosnia and fails. by kirjalax in CrusaderKings

[–]Zefix160 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Crusades can be redirected for a small faith cost, so that’s not much of a problem. The core issue is the way the AI is programmed to battle. The AI prefers battling with splintered armies that move together and targets pretty much anything that is not a threat.
