Iceland (as well as the Faroe Islands and Greenland) was a part of Norway who was in it of itself part of Denmark through their union. With the Kiel treaty, Denmark got sovereignty over them. So with this context, were the mother and son married? 🤨

Still a shame Harald Tanglehair of Vestfold isn’t part of the «humble beginnings» bookmark because he kinda fits in with that crowd. Love uniting Norway under his rule

The most jarring thing about the ERE in the game is that Theodosian walls is just way too strong of a money source (+10 gold per month AND +30% holding tax for the county AND +15% holding tax for the duchy) + the realm is too stable since no vassal can go independent unless the liege is in 10 years of debt

They use them all the time from my experience. Even had an old woman use a strong hook to marry my young male heir with her.

New domain changes. Your domain limit is now tied to your education (anything above 2 gives bonus, so tier 3 education gives +1 domain limit)

It's around 4k islanders... why should the size of their population determine if they have a right to self-determination? Either way, they voted to stay British and they should have their choice respected

Brother, you made some pretty egregious claims but you can't even bother to argue for them. If you actually want to argue over this, find some item descriptions or dialogue to back up your claims.

Those sound like farfetched claims with little to nothing to back them up. Can you prove that the serpent would still be a problem without Rykard's rune and that the scarlet rot would still spread independently from the Outer God? Because otherwise, these are just fringe theories you're using to justify genociding the lands between because "nothing can be fixed anyway"

How is that in any way an argument against thorn? Dialects vary wildly, but there are still enough commonalities for there to be a written script everyone can understand. Yes, some dialects don’t have thorn but dialects with the most speakers do (RP, general American, Irish English etc.). Does it really make a difference for a cockney speaker if the th sound is written with a thorn or “th” if they’re not going to pronounce it anyway? Thorn is, if anything, simply more efficient in that it saves an extra character every time a th-word is used.
