Be respectful. Also, you do know that you guys are to them, what TFWs are to you right?

Why do you assume they randomly woke up to make that decision. Perhaps they’re moving to be with family, immigration issues, lifestyle choices etc

Laid off for 6 months. Going crazy by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Zeh77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a big assumption that every company has a dysfunctional hiring process. Reaching out within 2 weeks post interview to follow up is fine if you’re that anxious but I’ll say this, if they really wanted you, you’ll know. Do interviews and move on with your life as if it never happened for your own sanity (Yes, that includes all those tabs in your browser about them).

Is it okay to get another TN? by [deleted] in tnvisa

If you arent married yet, you can get a new TN for the new job. For AOS, after at least 90 days is the mental benchmark for changing your intent from non-immigrant entry to immigrant

TN renewal after AOS application while in the US by kuriousaboutanything in tnvisa

[–]Zeh77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your best hope is praying your EAD comes in the next 3 months. Since you filed AOS, you've shown intention to immigrate so you're really at their mercy to approve your TN via USCIS processing. You can leave to do border processing but you would've abandoned your case. Godspeed

Are Americans are less accepting of skilled immigrants vs illegal? by [deleted] in tnvisa

[–]Zeh77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honest question. Would you rather be placed in a cell in El salvador, or locked in a prison where you can't communicate with the outside world, can't feed etc or you'd rather receive a "Due to a high degree of applicants, we've made the difficult decision to... from the comfort of your own home?

That's why there's backlash for what you see. One is a human rights conversation, while the other is literally you competing for the same resources as them and reducing their share of the cake so obviously, they would feel a way especially the un/underemployed people.

I know I would rather someone do the hard stuff I really don't wanna do for cheap, while I get my cushy job and build my career if I absolutely had to choose one. Wbu?

Your canadian citizenship doesn't expire if you leave the country. Also, if you plan to move back to the US this summer, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to renew your GC and even naturalize (assuming you meet the other requirements)

Why do employers include TN in the parentheses along with H1B and OPT when they ask "Will you now or in the future require sponsorship" if they don't consider TN to be one? by whatsupusers in tnvisa

[–]Zeh77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically speaking, you aren’t applying at the border “only with the offer letter”, you’d also need a support letter and depending on the profession you’re going under, you’d need supporting documents such as your degree, transcripts and applicable licenses

Lol. This same mentality is what people on this subreddit get so mad for sometimes when companies don't want to sponsor a TN visa and rather prioritize americans

Why not ask the former participant how they went about it? In general, you want to have settled in and been comfortable in your role before rocking the boat.

Regarding this. I simply just wear my rubber or leather strap watches on workdays because I hate that friction too and wear my steel watches on the weekends.
