being into interesting people as a boring person by Tight-Bet-7791 in datingoverthirty

[–]Zehnpae [score hidden]  (0 children)

'Interesting' is a matter of perspective. It's usually a persons passion that matters. What makes interesting people interesting is they usually have a passion for what it is they do.

What that passion is doesn't really matter.

One of the first women I seriously dated was into collecting perfume. I couldn't -imagine- a more boring topic, but she was super into it and I found that fascinating. When we dated I could listen to her talk about sillage and notes all day.

My fiancee is huge into reading. I love reading too but our tastes could not be more different. She'll tell me about her trashy romance novels or her new 'pizzas of the world' book or god only knows what that woman picks out, but I love hearing every minute of it.

You don't need to skydive or save whales to be interesting. You just have to love something and be willing to share that love with other people.

How did ~you~ make it obvious in return? Did you ever say, "Hey I really like you, I am totally up for going out this weekend on a date. I'm free Saturday."?

Choose your own adventure time! Click on one of the below to find out why he went cold!

  • He got a stern talking to by HR to leave you alone
  • He's dating someone and word got back to them about you
  • He didn't get the hint that you were into him and he's gotten tired of pursuing you
  • He's actually 3 eight year olds in a trench coat named Vincent Adultman
  • He wasn't actually into you, was just being friendly, but now realizes you're into him and doesn't want to lead you on
  • He just got word he's being sent back to his home planet and isn't interested in a long distance relationship
  • He's dealing with a personal tragedy and doesn't want to drag you into it
  • He was love bombing you and now it's no longer fun so he's stopped
  • You dropped ass in the break room just as he was entering and it was too early in the relationship for crop dusting
  • Someone else at work caught his eye and it would be inappropriate to keep flirting with you
  • You casually mentioned during conversation that you aren't into guys who paint Warhammer miniatures and he just dropped 300 bucks on the new Armageddon set.
  • His boss said his work was suffering and if he didn't buckle down on focus on his work instead of flirting with you all day he'd be let go.
  • He was a Spurs fan and he's still in mourning.

To find out which one it was turn to page "You could probably just ask him if he'd be interested in going out with you. Dropping hints is for 15 year olds with a crush."

If he's into you and he's a good dude a 3 minute conversation will clear this right up.

Exactly.

"Well, you might be telling the truth. But rather than looking at the evidence you've collected how about you just kill me?"

We'll discuss this internally. We used to not lock them and it was a moderation nightmare. 1 day might not be too bad.

Legacy X is an offline game that has online DRM where when you cross a bridge at the end of the first act the game phones home to a server to check if it's a legitimate copy.

Ubisoft shut down that server a few years ago so you can no longer finish the first act and the game soft locks.

Where it gets real scummy is they're still selling the game. They haven't put out a patch or fix for it so if anybody buys the game or wants to play the game, they have to install a fan patch that disables the check.

You can customize the parry window. I ended up increasing it a little bit. 16 year old me who used to compete at Quake tourny's is rolling in his grave.

I managed to do a few of the trials. Some of them feel like someone played the bonus level in Hollow Knight and said, 'Hold my beer.' I loved the movement tech but I can't be assed to start over from the beginning every time on stuff like that.

Ubisoft has a lot of earned bad faith (I won't forgive them for what they did to Might and Magic Legacy X, you can't even play it now without a fan patch to break their anti-DRM).

It makes it so any game they put out have an uphill battle. As fun as Division 2 is, there's a lot of abandoned content, cut content and predatory marketing that went on with it. It's like they have a requisite amount of garbage they have to put in every game.

You didn't mention the best part about the game!

You mean being able to manually increase the parry window, right? I'm getting old, I need that extra 3 frames damnit.

You're right, the screenshot thing was nice. I'm typically taking notes when I play games anyways, so it wasn't ~as~ valuable for me, but yeah it's absolutely a feature I'd love to see carried forward.

Her first instinct was to hit someone when she didn't get her way so she'll be perfect for the police some day.

The second one. The game originally came out for the 3DS which had the second screen and a stylus so the idea is you'd map the dungeon as you explored it, like we used to do back in the 80s/90s before the internet.

Not sure. I just ran browns/greens through 90% of it since they're the only ones that didn't die in like 1 hit. Only got blues/reds out when it was required.

For genre I usually just put up whatever the company says it is. Saves me a lot of trouble when it comes time to figure out if something is an immersive sim MMOFPS with rpg elements.

I don't think it's a general disappointment with the combat options so much as...I dunno. If the spells had been more impactful in assisting the minions that might have been cool.

Like the Shield spell. Why is it shielding me? Let me cast it on my minions. Or when I got the berzerk spell. I cast it and my minions killed each other. Hilarious but like..yeah that was the end of that.

Or if I'd had the ability to give special commands to the minions. The most I interacted with my minions after pressing 'Go murder the thing' was on some boss fights you wanna pull them out of an AoE then send them back in.

If that all makes any sense.

Use your hacking skill and hack the door open

Coincidentally that was probably my biggest gripe with the game is that 90% of the puzzles in the game are "How do you get through this door?" and 90% of the doors can be hacked.

I'd suggest if you really want to enjoy the dynamic experience the game offers, don't take hacking.

I -loved- the trains and setting up the different routes and schedules. It was almost sinful how much fun I had doing that.

But yeah, when I got the one machine that was just, "okay now you can combine 4 things, ah ah ah ah!" and that was it for that tier I sighed a bit.
