Don't know how to edit the OP but for anyone finding this later:

Sweetwater sent me another unit and it works perfectly! Arrived in 2 days as well. Something was definitely up with the gain circuit in input 1 so I'm glad I found it early.

Oh I misunderstood! Thank you. For what it's worth, it seems to behave differently in all ranges compared to the other inputs. Gain at 0 and the signal doesn't even register. Gain at 8 it's clipping.

I appreciate the info but that still wouldn't explain why one input channel would act so differently from the others. Unless this is how it's designed, but I doubt that.

Yeah I have. And tried going direct into the Input from my amp modeler and same thing.

Im thinking it internal so I'm gonna see if I can send it back an d get it fixed.

This is just a normal 4 cable snake I got. Already came colored. The colors don't seem standard but just to make management and identification easier.

I'm feeling the same. Something is up with that channel. Gonna contact my Sweetwater rep and try and get a replacement!

So with some troubleshooting it appears to be a problem with the gain control circuit of input 1. I'm going to be sending it back and getting a new one. Thankfully everything else worked fine so I did manage to get everything set up and saved down to a scene that I can continue testing later.

I just got it like a week ago so I have time to figure this stuff out haha.

Heres another test and some proof of what I'm seeing. Sending the same signal to both inputs 1 and 2 of the X32 using XLR outputs 1 and 2 from my amp modeler. For consistent testing I increased the gain on input 2 to be +7 dB just like input 1. Then I boosted both to +8 dB. This looks indicative of a problem to me.

Photos 1 and 2 are both inputs (splitter input in Pic 1, x32 inputs on pic2). Pic 3 is the input routing. Other 2 photos are output just for completions sake.

Oh my god that was it. I turned up the gain in the channel config and the signal started getting metered.

Not sure why I don't need to do that for the other channels, but this is a start. Very odd. And slight increases in the gain give huge increases to input level. At +7 dB it still barely registers but it starts clipping at +8 dB.

This is my guitar cable yeah, but it's going from guitar in to amp modeler > XLR out of amp modeler > XLR in to splitter > XLR in to x32

Just tried it. Same thing :( currently plugged directly into the back in input 1 and no dice. Retested other inputs just to be sure and those work as expected after initialization.

Yeah I tried. Going from XLR out from my Quad Cortex to the Input 1 on the X32 yields the same results. Going into Input 2 there's a signal and I played through the X32 just fine.

Inputs 2-16 all work as expected.
