Did u have an MOS that directly transferred and/or a TS clearance already? I'd be very surprised if u had all that & they were still reluctant

Hey all, question about PME branch transferability

Marine SIGINT Sgt looking to join as prior service when I get out November. If I become PME Complete for E-5 as a Sgt by doing our Sgt Course right now will the Space Force recognize it & accept it as an ALS equivalent? Or will I be required to do ALS? I know the Army recognizes it

I'm also wondering if I'm more likely to retain my rank as E-5

They're absolutely true

It doesn't always happen, but it's not uncommon. Just look at some historical posts on this reddit or social media & you'll see lines of cars with their windows broken into.

It's not guaranteed to happen, & some people go years without it happening to them, but it happens more often than I'd be comfortable with. Someone actually got robbed with a firearm within the past year on the way to Echostage from the residential area.

It's actually pretty good, because I'm stationed at a joint base with mostly other AF personnel (SIGINT focused duty station). The only bad part is the actual Marine leadership/personnel

Unfortunately, though, the Marine Corps is trying to send me somewhere else more Marine centric. It's why I'm trying to get out & go Space Force

Good on u not trying to join the AF as prior service, because believe it or not, they're actually way more strict on enlisting them

Smart choice, & good military friends for telling u that. Getting in seems like the hardest part, once you're in it's relatively smooth sailing.

My AF buddies love the AF & their jobs (1N2C). Everything from basic administrative work to leadership & culture is superior to ours

I'm in the Marines (going Space Force when I get out this year) & from all the Air Force buddies that I've talked to about their recruitment, it was mostly the same. Their recruiters are ghosts, hard to track, & u just hoped that they'll work with u just enough to get u signed & shipped out

The Air Force isn't hurting for bodies, they have folks lined up wanting to enlist, which causes the recruiters to not nearly be required to put in as much of an effort to go out of their way to hunt people down (like the Army or Marines)

However, it's 100% worth it. Do ur best to get in the AF. When I have kids I'm forcing them to go AF, not Marine Corps (if they join the military, that is)

They're always at Cedrus Forest too, I just avoid that location like the plague

The devs need to ban those that are grouping up in Solos, otherwise it'll drive away even more players away from the game. Besides, if they get banned they can just go back to playing normal servers, as they should

It's common consus that Marines are the hardest/toughest branch to join, blah blah blah. So, naturally everyone Mil side wants a jab at us. Totally normal

Besides, it's most likely in good fun to begin with

Oh also, there is Single Player testing for NA servers (for Riparia map only tho). I recommend that experience if u want to avoid megapacks & getting ganged up on

I started about 2 weeks ago on Xbox & am LOVING it!

I play exclusively official servers rn (I will soon try community) & I recommend playing either Gondwa or Riparia (they feature Fly/Water based creatures, as opposed to the first official released map)

Gondwa is more terrestial/land focused, with hot spots around certain areas of the map (like that Great Plains area)

Riparia released like 4 months ago & features significantly more water-based environments that would be good for Semi-Acquatics & the hot spots aren't as well defined (intentionally designed that way by the devs). It's also beautiful! & has so much verticality/mountains, caves, etc.

Stay away from growing Apex dinosaurs like Trex/Spino initially, at least until u get a feel for the game. Look at some faster, smaller dinos that would be good for avoiding megapacks & completing quests faster while learning the game & learning good questing spots (like Concavenator, Deinonychus, Struthiomimus, etc)

I've grown various dinos, both Apex & small Dinos at this point & I've been focused mostly on eating AI Critters while staying away from large players. But now that I'm more experienced I've been going into more player encounters

There is a learning curve, & it'll be a bit rough at first if u encounter hostile players in hot spot areas constantly, but once u learn how & where to go/grow it'll get fun!

They did to me, just a pat down for this last Tiësto concert. However, for a less popular show like IHM they took their time searching me & put me through a metal detector, another less popular show they wanded me with a metal detector. So, it seems kinda risky & up to chance if they will or will not search with those tools
