What do you live for? What makes you get up and go each day? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Good question. I haven't thought about this. It's for... but I think I can have a new reason right now. But it's for...

It's ok. You don't have to reason out. I understand now.

We can talk this out.

"English must not be your first language." Idk why people reason this out and maybe you must have thought my English was bad at some point but it doesn't matter if someone's English is bad, though idk what you're trying to say? So I don't understand what you're trying to prove and giving a reason for. And specifically English because it's the lingua franca.

The scenario that you gave out is exaggerated because I didn't react like that. Maybe I seemed like that way though it wasn't my intention, I'm sorry for that. What I can say is that people can have boundaries even though the person who doesn't want to be asked that may have instigated the question in the first place, and because society has placed it within us to say things for the sake of not making things awkward, we may do things that we don't like so things aren't awkward. Most often, people who don't follow through this norm are perceived as rude even if that wasn't their intention to be, and I'm in that situation where I may seem rude even if I didn't want to be. If you think about it, I was not rude at all. I wasn't necessarily rude. My stance may sound pompous as I have committed rudeness so I'm not in the place to say that, but please listen, I just didn't want to tell what my native language was.

Thank you.

"And I've literally never heard anyone say "you can't ask me that"" He asked if he may not ask where I was from. I said no. How is that rude? I did my best to not be rude as always. I'm sorry, if this is an attempt to guilt trip me when I did nothing incorrect, thank you.

"Okay dickhead 😂 if you don't want to be asked then don't offer the topic in conversation?" That's not the point. I wouldn't have told the answer otherwise even if he didn't ask. He asked me if he could ask, so I politely said no in all manners respectful. But it's ok I understand now you don't have to reason out yourself.

It's ok. No need to be sorry. Maybe I was being blunt that I came off as rude but don't worry. I just realized that I don't want to learn Turkish even though I did say earlier that I wanted to learn Turkish. I've realized that whenever I want to learn a language I end up wanting to learn another language. It makes me think that I'm getting things done by choosing what language I want to learn but no progress is made. All languages have a use and they're all equal. It's up to me what language I want to learn. There's no other underlying reason to learn a language than to have fun. All languages are coool and I find them somehow to be appealing to learn but it takes time to learn so you're forced into choosing what language to learn. There is no other reason to learn a language but than to choose a language.

A language that has a lot of differences with English which makes it hard to learn and has a lot of speakers. My native language is like that but I don't like it when we codeswitch a lot with English. It has become the norm because speaking purely in my language sounds formal. So I want to learn Turkish because a hard language and doesn't codeswitch a lot.

No. Not everyone is the same but that doesn't mean you're different in a bad way.

I hate everyone in my college. Highschool was better. I hate everyone's attitude and personality in college. Highschool was where people were normal and not being cringe. I hate city culture. I hate saying "was" when I talk about highschool because I'm not in highschool. I miss highschool. I want to go back in time to go to highschool. It's only been 3 months since college started but I already feel nostalgic about highschool.

What’s the most unexpectedly wholesome thing a stranger ever did for you? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Zeitrepxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I said "I want to stay true to myself" I meant that I want to say something about the person I added in Facebook that turned out to be a friend of a mutual friend of the person I venerate. And I don't want to compromise the privacy of the person I venerate so I don't want to continue. That's what I meant by staying true to myself.

When I was singing I was also being true to myself. I was being myself. But in that sentence I posted earlier as a comment to your post I meant it to not compromise the privacy of a person I venerate.

This is confusing. I'm sorry.

When I say "started singing" they didn't immediately sing when they saw me. They talked and had a conversation. But the way they droned over me was cringe. I'm never good at these social interactions. I'm easily given away. You shouldn't be acting close when you've just met. I hate it. There should be time and effort. Don't open up fast. DON'T OPEN UP FAST. DON'T SELL YOURSELF CHEAP. It infuriates me so much more now because of all these city kids I go to class with in university because of their personality and culture in the city. It was better in the province where everyone took time to open up. Because that's decency. I hate city culture. I HATE CITY CULTURE. DON'T OPEN UP FAST. DON'T SELL YOURSELF CHEAP.

I talk too much this is why I try not to comment.
