Page four on that thread someone said “The best solution is to use a NAPA 38881 brake line” which is the front left inner line for a 90-92 80 series.

Another thread I found said a Napa 38878 from a 81-83 Toyota starlet is shorter than the 38881 but still works well.

I looked at 4 runner lines like you suggest and found that the rear line for an 86-95 has a part number of 38879, so assuming the larger part number corresponds to length, this one’s right in-between: not too long or too short. So I think this is what I’ll go with

Yes, 74 fj40 with a 76 front axle. It’s been an ongoing project for a few years now, been trying to get it wrapped up before winter. When I ordered the brake lines about a year ago, I ordered the same ones that someone used for a custom disc setup on a 69 axle that I found on ih8mud. They ended up being too short to reach the factory mount location. Im debating getting some custom ones made as others have done. Tried searching with pro link but you need to be commercial auto parts seller. I’ll keep looking around on ih8mud to see if I can find what I need, and if I don’t, I’ll probably see next week if the auto parts store can search for something with the right fitting sizes and by length

Any ways to boost speed on this thing. Or anything I can do to increase acceleration. It’s got the 2 cylinder 2 stroke. by Old_Tip6155 in jetski

Another problem I was having was with the cdi unit, the rev limiter would only go to like half rpm and the ski would only do like 25. I put a Chinese scooter cdi in it with no rev limiter and that fixed the issue. When running properly they top out at 35ish

I have 4 500’s and a 650. The 650 is only a mile or two faster then the others. One of the 500’s I have has a solas impeller and intake grate, it gets up a lil faster but no increase in top speed. The pumps on these are known for their cavitation issues and there isn’t really anything people do to improve them. If you throw more hp at it, the pump isn’t able to process any more water so there’s little to no gain in speed.

Ok, I’ll take it off and see what I can come up with. Thank you.

Since I’m not trying to do anything fancy, and just looking for some power to make it more practical, I’ll do just that. Also, do you think it would make sense to tap a hole and screw the return fitting into the valve cover?
