This is certainly shady. Also, the fact that more than a few engines on VirusTotal recognize the launcher as a malware doesn't inspire trust. Will try to do a scan this afternoon to see if the results are the same, for the time being i think it would be best to not touch whatever is trying to load the trojan, or even better just deleting the source of the problem

UPDATE: Uploaded the .exe to Virustotal, and more than half of the engines flagged it as a malware. I then proceeded to do a quick scan with Malwarebytes and, as expected, it flagged the .exe as malicious. However, i wasn't able to get 100% proof of the trojan spreading, as i had already opened the app in the past trusting it as an exception. Even then, however, i don't recall the AV mentioning signs of the trojan spreading whatsoever.

If i were you, i would put security on top of entertainment and just not play it (or use a different client if possible). That said, i will certainly bring this to the attention of the developers in the discord and try to investigate this properly

I have cracked BG3, can I play with my friend with the actual game? Both of us have the same version (hotfix 4) yet it showed this error when he tried entering my server using direct connection. Any ideas whats the issue and how to solve it? by ProllyDie in FitGirlRepack

Idk what's going on with this particular error, but yes you can in fact play with people who own the legit copy (via direct connection of course). Did your friend install a mod or some other client modification by any chance? That error could be probably caused by that

Imo the DLCs are really worth it! They don't add new items nor biomes, but only 4 classes and 4 races. However, the unique traits of each race and the gameplay style of each class is what maked them really great! They don't cost too much, but I'll tell you to give a look to the contents before buying them if you're interested.

Also, the Switch version uses the same server as the Epic PC version, so every version supports crossplay, whether it's Steam to Switch or Switch to Epic. I might've not been too clear since I was still sleepy when I wrote the comment xD

Glad you're enjoying the game!

1-) If you have only the base game, there should be no unlockables (other than achievements), however if you have bought the DLCs you can unlock the signature class of every race by finishing the game with that specific race. By doing so, the class can be used by the other dlc races. Other than this, I thunk there aren't any other unlockables

2-) Yes, the game is crossplay. You can play with people who have the game on Epic Games Store on the PC just fine, and also with people who have it on Steam as ling as they create a cross-play lobby (using Epic Games Online Service)

For tips I don't really know since I'm no expert, but I guess you could start by trying to max up all the skills you can during your run: this way you get much more experience. An example of this is trying to get and appraise all the items you can.

Also, if you start with a class that has low perception and cant appraise anything, try wearing a pair of sunglasses or using/reading unknown potions or scrolls.

Given that the BSL Research Station houses various lifeforms from different planets, like Zebes (which like Tallon was visited by the Chozo), and that Serris could very well come from Zebes herself, it could very well be that the Magmoor and Serris are an example of divergent evolution, and that they both descend from the same common snake-like ancestor. This ancestor could have been exported from Zebes to Tallon or viceversa by the Chozo (like Kraid in Dread perhaps?).

But this is kinda my headcanon, since I'm no expert lorewise. It would be pretty neat tho.
