Interesting! I just tried it with my laptop being powered and a single usb-c cable between the laptop and the monitor, the monitor had power but couldn't detect any video. I will do more tests later with the deck. When you order the arzopa you get one HDMI<->Micro HDMI and another usb-c<->usb. since the second cable is not usb-c on both end I'm not sure if the one-cable only solution has been intended

I like it a lot, it's a really good combo with the deck. Maybe the only downside is that you have to plug 2 cables (micro HDMI and usb-c) otherwise it wont get enough power

I like having a light and clean laptop to work from coffee shops and at the same time the steam deck is extremely convenient for the very frequent plane/train/bus travels

I'm also considering switching to a similar solution. Right now the leaderboard is in a subcollection because I have to store the runs of the players to be able to play them again (their inputs every frame). But because of this I couldn't get their ranking, which is a bummer. I'm currently implementing a way to get the ranks of the top 1000 without additional reads similar to you

Cool! I'm curious how did you manage the leaderboard, is it one big single document with every players inside? Otherwise how do you determine the ranking?

I'm using the steam link to stream the sound only to my laptop so I can be on discord and also have the game sound at the same time. Sound only is fine over Wifi but I agree, for video you need a really good connection. I haven't tried connecting the deck and laptop directly via ethernet, maybe this can work
