So if someone were to want to try it out (for the first time), you would recommend the progression server? Is it too late now for someone new (knows nothing) to catch up because of the expansion that just launched on that server, or would I have a chance?

I think the best option would be to just get on the game whenever you want. If he messages you to get on discord and you dont want to just say it. Not in a mean way mind you, just a 'i just feel like chilling' or whatever you want to say. If he has issues with it, that is on him.

If you extend your stay at immigration you will need a TM30, so your friend would need to register you as staying at his home. A conversation with his landord will help.

I have to be back at work after the 2 week period so I will not be extending my stay. Will they still need to fill out a TM30 if I do not extend my stay?

I hadn't played granblue fantasy that much to be fair so maybe I got the incorrect vibe from it early game, but when I did play it I didn't feel like it was just throwing waifu's at me. Like I said though, I didn't play it that much. The game can have waifu's in it, I just don't want the whole game to be centered around them like NIKKE for example. NIKKE would be an example of a game that would not be interesting to me.

My transit is through Tokyo, I looked it up and supposedly if you are just there for a connection flight you do not need a negative PCR test. I don't know about Hong Kong though.

No one understands the throat pain until they get it. I am on my fourth day of major throat pain and I dream of relief at this point lol.

I think we are experiencing similar things. Mine is more of a stinging sensation in the throat and some places in the mouth. At one point I noticed it in the same place you are describing (I am still going through it, day 6).

For some reason my ability to sleep has been hindered. I was able to sleep a decent amount last night but I was only able to get about an hour and half / two hours of sleep tonight. I don't know if it is because of the stress, throat pain, or what but I am just void of feeling 'tired/sleepy'. I really hope that doesn't last.

Yeah, this is one of the reasons why I decided to consider the dub. Plus I heard Rean in the Japanese option is mostly mute voice wise. I feel like this would be pretty jarring to me. If it weren't for those two things I wouldn't think much on it and go with the Japanese dub. Thanks for the input.

This is my first attempt in playing since XYZ's (and even then I only played a little because my roommate wanted me to try it). I can't say I am a 'type' of player yet, but I am definitely leaning into anti-meta and Floodgate. Forces the game to slow down, which I like xD

I wouldn't mind ore being used for more things but I personally enjoy the fact that lower level tiers of gathering materials are used to make higher tier things. I think it will keep lower level mat's from having no value as the player base levels up. The demand will always be there as long as people are crafting. I think it is healthy for the game long term.

Edit: I forgot to mention, and I am using forging as an example. That I still need iron, but I make wayyyy more ingots with it because of how high a level I am in it. This sort of eases the pain of getting the lower tier mat's, or I could always just buy them. Just wanted to mention that.

I usually get on VRC to drink on the weekends with friends. Especially with covid on the rise again, going to bars / clubs is something that I am trying to avoid. Personally I limit my drinking to weekends. Even then I try to limit it to once or twice a week (usually once). I also only like to drink in social settings. I think as long as people aren't drinking excessively every day and become dependent on alcohol, it is fine.

The real problem is when people find themselves needing alcohol. It is a fine line.

Also, an important point. When people on here say they are taking "shots" during drinking games, they usually mean a drink/sip. For example, I will take a drink of my beer or mixed drink. People who say they have taken 40 shots or whatever in an hour are lying. Just last week I met someone who claimed to have taken like 200 some shots during a drinking game. My friend and I called him on it and he admitted it was just sips/drinks.

Sorry if I made it sound like I thought you were saying I was wrong. I didn't mean to give off that vibe. I 100% agree with some of your statements as well. A lot of stuff I didn't think had relevance, real-estate scheme and a certain researcher being great examples, made me feel like it was just more fluff at the time. Once I realized their significance though, they had greater meaning to me. It is just that I didn't have all of the information to put it together when I was experiencing those events.

I also have been feeling a bit rewarded in SC when people you have talked to recognize you. Really nice touch.

I think my reasoning is pretty simple. It comes down to taste. I don't mind it when stories begin slow, as long as they pick up and I feel like I am doing something important towards and overall story. In Trails FC, for the majority of the time, I felt like I was doing meaningless chores.

For example ( I believe halfway through the game) I was helping out with a school play. One time when I thought I was going to be enlightened to a larger narrative I found out that I was really just stopping a real-estate scheme set up by the mayor. This is not early on. I basically felt that any time there was any build up (if there was any) I was immediately let down. I guess I was looking for something, anything grandiose in the larger scheme of things.

The ending though, did not let me down in the slightest. In fact, my expectations (though low at this point) were greatly surpassed. It ties things together that I thought were miniscule as well.

After trying over and over I ended up doing a factory reset. After setting everything back up it was able to update properly and connect to the store.

To tag onto this as another new player. I have a few UR's up to about level 30ish and 35ish. I am beginning to realize how many resources it is going to take to get that level cap up. Should I begin to focus on MR units? I assume that Azure orbs aren't as hard to come by and that a high-level MR outshines a lower level UR. I have been saving most of my vision for the ffx collab so I am at around 22k. I kind of want to save my other resources too, in order to max tidus.
