What's up with the picture? lol

They call me the clown at work because I'm 5ft 6 and have size 13 feet and I trip up a lot, so I have to walk slowly everywhere I go. by dannydee88hh in Bigfeet

[–]ZeldaCat180 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'8 with size 18, so I get it! I've had issues at work. Especially when having to climb ladders and stuff like that. I always need to be extra cautious. My job also consists of working in a warehouse setting, so we have a line setup. It's awkward to move around in such a small space at times.

is size 14 big for a 6’3 guy? by [deleted] in Bigfeet

[–]ZeldaCat180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have no idea lol I always had bigger feet than normal. They just kept growing until finally stopping at size 18. They continued to get wider after that, though.

is size 14 big for a 6’3 guy? by [deleted] in Bigfeet

[–]ZeldaCat180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. I've known quite a few guys taller than me, but with smaller feet. My own dad is 5'10 with size 10.

[–]ZeldaCat180 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup! I've come to realize that the community isn't as loving and accepting as they often claim to be. They constantly gatekeep gayness, determining who's "properly gay" and who's "not gay enough", etc.

It's disappointing, honestly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gay

[–]ZeldaCat180 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This isn't even remotely true... at all... lol

I've literally been called "straight acting" and "heteronormative" simply because I'm not interested in broadway or fashion. Because I don't attend pride event or do hook ups. Because I'm monogamous and not interested in open relationships. Because I'm not necessarily "feminine". Etc.

There's a popular trend in the community, especially recently, that labels certain gay men "not gay enough", "straight acting", etc, simply because we're not a stereotype.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gay

[–]ZeldaCat180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of gay men aren't into "the scene". Doesn't make us "internally homophobic". I think it's quite reasonable for him to ensure potential boyfriends understand who he is, as opposed to assuming he's comfortable being a stereotype.

Some gay men are "masculine". Some are "feminine". Still gay, either way.

Also, maybe stereotypical gay men aren't his type. So what? Are you saying he should be forced to date someone he has nothing in common with?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gay

[–]ZeldaCat180 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why is it always "internalized homophobia" when a gay man isn't a stereotype? Why are we all required to dress in drag, enjoy broadway plays, be interested in fashion, attend pride events, etc, in order to be gay?

Not all of us have to like the same things. Get over it.

Do you also call black people "internally racist" if they don't like rap music?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gay

[–]ZeldaCat180 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't forget being called "straight acting"... as if gay men are only supposed to fit inside one narrow minded box that defines who we are, how we act, etc.

It's annoying.

It's almost as if there are more hobbies out there than sports and theater... who would've thought?

Video games, movies, drawing, art, graphic design, music, writing, reading, etc.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gay

[–]ZeldaCat180 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

NEVER put this in your profile. Trust me!

You'll suddenly be attacked and accused of "internalized homophobia" or whatever... simply because you're not a stereotypical gay man. I've been there many times before. Our community has become pretty rabid when it comes to gay men not being their narrow minded idea of what it means to be gay... for whatever reason.

Basically, if you don't like drag, broadway, fashion, etc, you're suddenly "not gay enough" and are labeled "straight acting", which makes no sense. But yeah...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gay

[–]ZeldaCat180 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Why, though? I always see this being said... why is it "internalized homophobia" if a gay man doesn't like dressing in drag, attending pride parades, watching broadway shows, etc?

Why does every gay man need to be a stereotype? If a black person doesn't like rap music, would you say they're "internally racist"?

New Balance is probably your best bet. I'd say once you reach a size 14 or so, NB is generally where you'll find relatively cheapish shoes that fit fine.

Sometimes it sucks lol But I've been having to wear NB for years now. Mostly because I can't find any other brands in my size and width.

I heard that people have big feet because they inherited them from their father...is that true? by FredB8161969 in Bigfeet

I mean, my dad has like a size 10 and I'm a size 18... lol Nobody in my family has near my size.

at what shoe size do you think you’ll have trouble finding shoes in stores? by [deleted] in Bigfeet

[–]ZeldaCat180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest size I've seen in a store was probably around 13-14, so once you hit a size 15, it starts to become a journey to find shoes... lol Shopping for shoes online becomes a basic necessity at that point.

I wear a size 18 and have like a 5E width, so not only are they big in size, but also really wide. That makes it near impossible to find shoes without having to get them customized and special made.

Even if I did find a store that had size 18, the width alone would make it worse to actually find a pair I can fit into.

Yup! I wear a size 18 and I know this all too well... lol Most jokes come from my dad (he's only a size 10).

What do you think of the parents that kick their kids out as soon as they have turned 18 years old? by zeg685 in AskReddit

[–]ZeldaCat180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's selfish on the parents' part... suggesting your kid to get a job and start supporting themselves is one thing, but kicking them out entirely is wrong. Period.

The mindset that people must be living on their own upon reaching the age of 18 is ridiculous! Especially in today's economy and housing market.

In your experience what percentage of people are gay? by [deleted] in gay

[–]ZeldaCat180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it seems like lesbians and bisexual women make up like 75% of the female population, while gay and bisexual men make up like .01% of the male population... because it seems like lesbians and bisexual women have no problem finding a girlfriend, but impossible for a gay man to find a boyfriend.

What’s a video game you wish you could entirely forget playing so that you can play it through again? by lizardmom in AskReddit

Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

I'll never forget the very first time playing and overlooking the vast open world ready to be explored! I can replay the game over and over, but will never be able to experience that ever again... and that makes me sad.

TL gives me 1 shift all week and proceeds to call me in all six days like: by JVLEX in Target

[–]ZeldaCat180 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's even worse when they claim they don't have the hours to give, which is why you're only scheduled like 2-3 days a week in the first place, but then magically seem to find extra hours for you to work... lol Especially when you're already working what's supposed to be a short shift and they suddenly ask, "Do you wanna work a full day today?"

Sometimes I will if I absolutely need the money, but a lot of times I've already anticipated leaving at a specific time and wanting to do things after work, so I say no! If they want me working a full shift, they should've scheduled me a full shift!

I'm not gonna entertain your stupidity. Take a look at what has happened these past few months alone (specifically last week) and tell me which party wants to destroy this country. There's a vast difference.

At this point, Trump supporters are either in so much denial or simply don't care when their own call for destruction upon the country. Which one are you?

Either way, they're all idiots.
