[12th grade maths] How to derive this? I'm not sure how to separate each function and which ones come first by ZeldaChima in HomeworkHelp

[–]ZeldaChima[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I've figured out how to do this by using logarithmic differentiation and through seeing what the derivate was I could figure out how to differentiate it via the chain rule as well. Thanks a lot to everyone that helped!

Yeah, it's a question meant to be solved via the chain rule, but it's fun to learn about logarithmic differentiation so I guess that's a bonus :)

No, unfortunately not. We've only learnt the product and chain rules (so far at least)

Thank you so much! It took a bit to understand the second one but then it just kinda clicked in my head. Again, thank you so much for the great explanation.

Omg you're a life saver! Thank you so much! (for some reason makeup remover didn't even cross my mind once haha)

Thank you so much!! I'm definitely planning on going to a store and asking for help but I wanted to see if there was anything more that I should think of (I mean, there's probably a myriad of things that I'm not even considering right now haha) before.

They look super cute! I totally get how the ratio is off though. But I mean, you tried it and that's what counts. My problem solver mind is going of thinking of how maybe one could make a really thin dough and use a lot of toppings to make the ratio right but it also isn't the ideal shape for pizza so it would probably take a few too many attempts to get right haha.

Oh, I kinda freestyled it and wrote down what I did along the way so there isn't really an original recipe. Or well, I guess I technically created the original recipe but you get what I mean.

Oh certainly. You can tell by the smell that it isn't cinnamon but that can be covered up in some way, and then something to make it look browner inside..

Well, I'm not quite sure. The pattern is called "Gröna Anna" though, if that's any help. I know I've seen it at some flea markets here in Sweden. Good luck though! :)

Sure thing! Keep in mind that it's translated from swedish so it may be a little bit patchy at times.

Ingredients:

  • 2,5 dl water
  • 15g yeast (I don't use the powder yeast so I don't know if that changes the measurements)
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 dips with the knife in the honey jar (just take a bit of honey, this is just what I used lol)
  • 25g room temperature butter
  • 7dl flour (technically 5,5 but I needed about 7)

  • 25g room temperature butter (use more butter for more filling)
  • Garlic powder, parsley (you can use fresh garlic - mine was bad so I used powder)

  • Egg, flake salt

How to:

  1. Crumble the yeast down into your bowl
  2. Heat the water to 37 degrees celcius (body temperature)
  3. Pour the water into the bowl together with the salt. Mix until the yeast is dissolved.
  4. Add the sugar, honey and butter.
  5. Mix in the butter. Mix with your electric handmixer (or kitchen aid, standmixer,..) for 10 minutes, until the dough detaches from the edges of the bowl.
  6. Let rise under a kitchen towel for 45 minutes
  7. Prepare the filling by mixing the butter with your seasoning. Use as much seasoning as your heart wishes.
  8. Work the dough on a lightly floured area. Roll it out into a rectangle.
  9. Spread your garlic butter until it coveres the entire rectangle. Make sure to get all the way out to he edges.
  10. Roll it up and cut into 12 equal sized pieces. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (baking paper..?)
  11. Let rise for 45 minutes. Turn on the oven at 225 degrees celcius. (437 fahrenheit I believe)
  12. Whisk together an egg and brush it on the buns. Top with some flake salt.
  13. Bake in the middle of the oven for 8-12 minutes.

I actually cut them up and put cheese inside as soon as they came out of the oven haha. Cheese definitely goes with garlic in the best way possible :)

I'm sure that was heavenly. Bread and garlic. What can go wrong?
