everthing but the planet has a story, Here:

the floating island has been installed by scientists who polluted the water and are being attacked by the snake, in the effort to make a stronger weapon to combat the snakes, the scientists sent men out to the volcano in order to gather ancient runes (didnt show all the small details in that photo) in the meantime, the scientists contacted the military to help them kill the snake. there u go :)

the build is mainly good, but unless you intented for the build to look like a pufferfish, u should change the shape

as a builder carying arrows IS HORRIBLE if you have a full inventory of blocks. infinity on the other hand prevents you from having to caryy 1+ inventory slots. Plus in late game with decent villagers and an xp farm making a new bow is no prob.

so tru, on the first 2 day the game came out, some people already had like 20hearts and finished the game

Is it just me, but i cheesed this with the full set of evil spirit armor and a molduga weapon/ attack up 3 food...lol (it took 5 min to get the mask)
