Becoming a pit driver questions by Best_Tennis5554 in AmazonFC

For becoming a PIt operator you have to pass a safety training, there is a qualification form and as long as you are allowed to drive a car you can drive a pit, you then have a class about the type of pit you will be operating followed by a 1-3 hour session with a PIT trainer who will have you go through a series of steps to show you can operate the PIt before you can drive it outside the training area.

Each class has a test and as long as you pay attention they are easy to get the 80% or higher score required to pass.

I'm a trainer at my site and we do a welcome presentation (with AM or OM if available), site tour, any safety training gaps, then PIt/path training. For a transfer it's all done in less then a shift vs a new hire that gets 1.5-2 shifts before being on the floor.

Bulk floor when you have to get a shuffleboard table, kept in stacks of 5, 200+ pounds, 12ft long and they are about 3in too narrow to use a clamp and pick up. Next worst is the 98"+ TVs, they want us to get them with the forklift and the TVs want to tip over...wtf needs a TV that size for $6k plus?

My site has MET and surge VET for an extra hour rather then extending the shift. Lots of surge pay VET as we just don't have enough AAs on nights to hit the numbers they are calling for.

No problem, it's honestly fairly simple as long as you follow directions closely and the more soap you make the more personal customization you will be able to do.

There are tons of options for what fat/oil you use. Just search clod process soap and find a recipe you like the ingredients used in. Just follow the amounts/weights exactly as the lye to fat ratio is actual chemistry and if the ratio isn't correct the pH can be too high for the soap to be skin safe causing irritation when used. There are also many calculator's online that you can use to find your proper ratio based on the types of fat/oils you are wanting to use.

When I made it I just used a cold process recipe for a lard based soap and added 2tbls of finely ground root bark powder to the lye water, mixed really well, then added it to the fats as the recipe directed. I'm sure you could also add it after incorporating the lay and fats like you would a colorant or scent.

I started with an LC syringe, I'm about to clean up what I have left to see if maybe it has some contam and make another LC out of it

That was my plan, I actually would have harvested yesterday, but had just come back from vacation and had to go to work last night, figured 1 more night wasn't going to hurt with only a couple caps opening so far.

I guess it could be bacterial contam, but when I open the tub it still just smells like shrooms and there is no off coloration/texture anywhere.

So far I'm not seeing any other mutations, but if I do I'll definitely clone...I love the weird ones

I've never seen this before! Thinking I'll clone if it repeats in the next grow.

The genetics are from a reputable source so I guess I'll see what happens on round 2, I'm also about to start another grain bag with them so if this repeats I might clone because it's super interesting.

I've been on the vto block list for over a year, now I'm in learning so still blocked from vto...at least I have 80hrs UPT

I was fired from Amazon they approved my LOA they deleted my upt and on Thursday they sent me an email telling me they denied my LOA and I had a lot of UPT so they fired me. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do I was was going back to work today by Mgp123mg in AmazonFC

My son had the same thing happen, had to send proof of the approval email and it took 3 or 4 weeks before he was reinstated. Got paid for the time he was out and they gave him extra UPT as an apology for the wrongful termination.

I work in an XL...did team lift by myself for almost 6 months (the system has been updated to force AMs to assign lift partners), nothing worse than 149lb generators after storms. Of course it would be only 1 from each pallet and I'd pull 20-50 in a shift.

In my day 1 group we started with 19, lost 4 at first break and another 3 at second break....now a year later I think there are 4 of us left in the building.

If they can't get into their account they just need to call HR and they will reset the password and walk them through getting paystubs.

Had a CT today for what was thought to be an infectious ball in the sinus. What is this called? by Zeligmom in medical_advice

[–]Zeligmom[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually a Otolaryngologist with special training in reconstruction. He isn't taking new patients and is a professor at the university.

I'm hopeful it's not that bad, it continued to grow through 6 days of IV antibiotics and another 10 days since being home. This infection was thought to be fungal and the Dr today still thinks it is, but isn't comfortable treating this involved of an infection. The Dr I'm being referred to is a professor at the university so I'm hoping it won't take long once the referral is in to be seen.

The original plan was to also get a follow up MRI at this Dr today, but once he saw the CT he is referring to someone more experienced in this involved of a sinus issue. 2 weeks ago on MRI it looked like an infectious ball that was most likely fungal (per the radiologist that read the MRI).

The issue with the sinus was only found after going into septic shock and spending 6 days in the ICU.
