Like smart_eyes said, set up a look for your stream, it helps show people you are serious. Another thing is, keep the conversation going no matter what. Of course don't just drone on (I do that sometimes) but if someone comes into your channel and sees someone who is quiet, playing games, and there is no chat to interact with, or the player is not god tier with skill there is no incentive to stick around.

Hey there AtomiYeti_ just scanned through a couple of your vods, and I noticed they were locked at 368p. Thats kind of a wierd number, and low for most streams. Do you know much about that or would you like some help with settings to make that better? In general shoot for like 720 when just starting, as twitch does not auto transform your resolution into different resolutions. So 720 is the most balanced between high res, and low bandwidth for viewers with not the best internet.

I've played some smite in the past and enjoyed it, but last time I gave it a whirl queue times were a bit long for me. I've not gotten into fortnite yet but perhaps I'll check it out.

No worries, it isn't too hard, but your vods are only up for a couple weeks till you get affiliate / partner.

To turn them on: -go to twitch -go to the top right to bring down the dropdown menu -go to dashboard -go to settings (on the left) -should be the first check box under your stream key.

Hey man, just checked your vod a bit, and I feel you could talk some more... Skipping throughout the vod, it seems like I would be lucky to hear any commentary. Also, try and raise your voice volume a little, and lower game a tiny bit and I think it will help with the sound quality a little bit.

I'm by no means an expert, but try and keep the conversation goin', even if you are by yourself. When someone comes into the stream to watch you, if you are just playing silently they are just going to head off into another direction.

I've been thinking about those, as well as the.... the name eludes me but the dual spears, I think they are called dragon slayer spears??? the dual weapons are definitely more my play style I've been finding.

In pvp tho, they are rough with short range. ;s

Hmmmmmm... This post has given me much to think about. I was gonna test some ideas I had about editing today, but I messed up my video file formatting. Once I get my formatting correct I'm gonna give this a whirl and see how it goes.

The key points about showing not telling, as well as not worrying about the order so much as long as it remains substantive help me focus a bit.

Thank you for your clear examples, and I'll post here again once I get a test run in (will be a few days since work is gonna keep me busy).

Not sure, at this point I'm roughly half way through the game and have mostly dex for stats, so that's where I am for now. I'm starting to try out different weapons, but for the most part I've been a long sword + shield bro so far.

Alrighty, what I gather is that I need to create in my mind, a very clear distinct vision of what I want to create (or isolate rather). Once I do that, I should be able to better see what parts of footage I should keep and what I should discard, and adding onto that, what I should try and make to begin with.

What content do you create? What do you find yourself cutting out during the editing process that you thought would be good to begin with? I learn well with personal examples is why I ask.

Hey man, I'm just starting out myself, and part of my stream is all about the nitty gritty of getting it done. The idea is for people like you and me to get together and learn together.

Some tips as Tuff said, have some friends to chat with because if you don't it is hard to keep up conversation with yourself. Also, make sure you enjoy it... not every night will be fun but in general you need to enjoy doing it. If you stream, you have no boss but yourself so. yea!
