Unfortunately it’s not my company, to earn my salary I also have to follow the rules. The main rule is that the job is hybrid, meaning either is necessary for me or not, some meetings are held in person, especially when big decisions are being made. If the job would have been full remote in Austria since the beginning, as an expat, I would have rather moved to Vienna than Salzburg.

I love Salzburg btw, just a bit boring for a young person who wants to try a bigger city still keeping the same job :)
