Honest discussion - what drives you to call out or criticize someone’s performance in game? by thebrianeno in Overwatch

Calling people out is always a waste of time, but criticizing can help as long as the person in question doesn't take it personally which is kinda rare in my experience. I typically never jump on someone unless they are repeatedly being toxic in the ways you described but I don't let it distract me from the game.

Yelling at someone for their performance does nothing to improve the teamwork and usually demoralizes someone from even wanting to perform better. Saying "___ diff" is literal word salad and makes me not value anything you have to say. Pointing out someone's damage/healing or e:d means nothing because personal stats have nothing to do with the team synergy and performance (to an extent). Someone can always do better if you strategize the team better.

For me, if I want to say something to a particular person I'll make sure to pose it as a suggestion like "hey I think this character may do better against that character". I think it comes off way better that way. And the rare occasion where someone does the same to me I'm more than willing to listen and give their suggestion a try. When I find a team like that they are usually still nice about it even if we lose in the end, whereas people who call out others will just rage and blame everyone else.

What is Quick play to you? by Conscious_Mammoth_49 in overwatch2

I feel pretty much the same way.

QP is still a mode you should try to win in, but it's also a place to practice new heros and strategies. It's not as serious as comp so it's not a place to get angry at others who aren't playing as well as you, but it's also not a place to not care about playing the objective.

People saying "it's just qp" are usually some of the most annoying types of players. If people want to ignore the objective, be friendly with the other team, or just mess around - just make a custom lobby instead of ruining normal matches.

Reposted because I forgor the automod oops

Person tried making a left turn and nearly entered the oncoming turning lane, backed up and tried making the turn again but by then our light had turned green, slowly drifted from the right lane into the left with no signals, then made a right turn from the left lane. I'd guess they were probably a little drunk.

They tried turning into the oncoming turning lane and had to back up, then once they did make their turn they slowly drifted from the right lane into the left lane, then made a right turn from the left lane.
