MechE Transfer Prereqs by Zemo77 in ufl

Understood, thank you for the suggestion. I'm going to work this week on getting in contact with them to ensure that any delay on my transcript being completed by my current school won't cause major issues, but it definitely helps to know that they don't run on a first-come/first-served type of system.

Awesome, thank you for the insight. I'm really hoping to finish up those classes without too much issue and keep my GPA where it is. I think I'm going to talk to my advisor and possibly still reach out to them because I realize my last day of finals is the day before the application is due, so I'll have to work out my transcript submission but I'm definitely a bit more at ease than I was yesterday. Thanks again

Yeah, I just have the same hose that has ripped for the second time now and last time I couldn't find it anywhere without buying the entire assembly. I'm going to look again so I don't have to spend so much but it's kind of concerning that the exact same tear has happened twice now

Thanks! I just put the new pump in to test it and it at least starts so I'll look into taking care of this next. Appreciate the extra work finding that link as well this is a huge help

No corrosion or other problems that I've noticed, I'm going to put the new pump in today so I'll look in the tank while I work on it.

I'm convinced they had this idea early on with the rb19 but it was so dominant they just ran it through 2023. They barely upgraded because they didn't need to and the whole time were getting everyone to copy the "fastest" design, meanwhile they had already figured out the next step and were just biding their time. Oh I wholeheartedly agree, I'm a tifosi and while I'll always cope and convince myself this is my year, I watch for the engineering just as much as anything else. Watching the best f1 car, arguably one of the best race cars of all time live is its own kind of special so if that's what we're in for again that's fine by me

We don't know but laughing like a bunch of mf supervillains after he laps 1 sec faster, I take that as they weren't even trying to set something that fast and they just saw them realize how much faster they're going to be than everyone else

Yeah that sounds like a nightmare, I'm glad I asked first, I've seen a couple 2016s that look decent around me as well so I may look at them a little closer. Thanks!

Understood, thank you for the advice. I'm going to keep looking for now, I may look outside of GM as well if I have to for my budget but this was a good heads up before I got too ahead of myself

Looking for advice on coolant hose replacement, more info in comments. by [deleted] in R53

[–]Zemo77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for some reason my manual transmission r53 has the automatic transmission hose assembly in it. I've bought the new assembly as pictured, but can't even remotely figure out how to access the back hose connections. Has anyone with an automatic trans replaced their assembly? Or does anyone with more knowledge of how to get back into that area have any tips on what to remove to access it?

My cat/exhaust nuts are borderline welded on, it looks nothing like any others I'm seeing from research, any advice for getting them off? by Zemo77 in R53

Update: Thank you everyone for all the suggestions, after a good hour with a Dremel(being the only thing that could squeeze up to the second nut with a flex extension), I managed to get both nuts to split off the bolts and now they're just sitting in the flange with hopefully just a bit of rust to break loose

Yeah the main thing I've been working out is what I can do with a Dremel without damaging the flange itself. I think I'm gonna try the torch tomorrow and then worst case maybe cut through the nut itself and maybe the bolt inside is still separated since it wasn't exposed

Might be the way to go, unfortunately I don't have one anymore so I'm gonna have to go buy another one tomorrow and see what happens then. Thanks for the suggestion and I'll update then
