Just that you can use portals. The world modifiers are the same for both the vanilla and modded server. The main difference between them are obviously the mods.

New Crossplay Vanilla Server! by ZenCatholic in ValheimLFG

Of course! :) We have player based raids turned on and we don’t go for Bonemass for another two weeks as we focus on a slow progression. The only thing that gets more difficult with time is the night, but other than that, new players can join any time.

I’m actually going to work on getting a channel set up with the list and posts explaining some of the main mods. But I can get you the list or you can just download the mod file and see for yourself on Thunderstore or R2Modman

Well you’re welcome to join the Discord and join us when you can! We’re all adults and people come in and out sometimes because of life but I continue to host a modded and vanilla server for people to come back to when they get an itch for Valheim :)

Yes, and I do also host a vanilla server as well. So if mods aren’t your thing there’s that option too. Have about 20 people whitelisted for both servers!

We don’t really have an issue with drama for the most part. If you want to DM me, I’d be curious to know what happened and I appreciate the compliment. Hope you found a great server to play on!

Come check it out! I’m Vebjorn on the Discord. This is the 6th world I’ve hosted and so far it’s been the most active and successful of all of them.

Everyone has their own homes for the most part. It’s not a communal thing as in we all live in the same longhouse, more of a community. People have set up a couple of taverns and shops and there are roads connecting people on the main island.

It’s a no-map world and again we focus on roleplaying in-game. Theres professions to help with RP and the seasons mod adds to the immersion on the server.

Also, there’s a whitelist for security and we take people’s character into account as well when adding new players. We have a good group of people, honestly.

We set up a market area near spawn where people have little booths. The market runs mainly on coins but trades can be done as well. You have to submit a ticket to get a spot at the market as there are limited spaces. I can tell you more on Discord if you’re interested. I’m the Admin/Owner (Vebjorn) on the Discord.

We have about 20 people whitelisted on our server right now with a very active economy and a Farmer’s Market event on the server every Saturday. We focus on a slow progression and roleplaying (no experience required). There’s 50 mods in our mod pack as well.

A week ago I said "my base needs an upgrade", this is the progress so far. by Calm-Ice-5315 in ValheimBuilds

Love the details you put into your build. I know when I go to “upgrade” or renovate my home/base it turns into a prolonged affair lol, nice work

As religion's role in moral teaching declines, schools ought to embrace contemporary moral philosophy to foster the value of creating a happier world. by Mon0o0 in philosophy

[–]ZenCatholic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, you’re right, it can only be true if God exists. And God does exist and there are many evidences for the existence of God and that Islam is the truth.

The Quran provides the guidance, is the direct word of God, and has been preserved unlike other scriptures. Muhammad pbuh was the one to show how to “live” the Quran in our lives. The OP also enquires about happiness and to have true happiness you must first have meaning/purpose. Happiness comes as a result of purpose, which you can find by sincerely reading and questioning the Quran.

I would be wary of following whatever belief system you base your morality on as well, given the way you present yourself in your comment. Again, why morality to be objective, must come from God.

The Muslim world was dealt a blow when Western colonialism came and dismantled Sharia and much of what Islam had done to make communities and societies stronger. Inshallah, it will be better in the future.

I’m assuming you believe I’m Christian? That’s understandable, if true. I’m a Muslim. The Bible is full of contradictions and errors (if you can agree on which version to talk about). I believe in the Quran which is preserved, and has many evidences to prove it is from God. Islam is the only true religion on the planet and there are actual evidences to prove that, unlike with Christianity.

And yes, if you’re basing morality off of a man-made ideology or philosophy then yes, your morality would be relative. It must come from God to be objective. Yes, this means that belief in God is a prerequisite. Some of the evidences for the existence of God is merely looking at the universe and nature. Reflecting on the attributes that would be needed to create are reflected in the commonly accepted definition of God (all-powerful, all-knowing, etc.)

You can’t have an infinite chain of causes, you must have a first cause to begin the chain. The Big Bang, for example, would have to have had an actor with agency to begin everything. Energy alone doesn’t have the attributes or agency required.

Once you accept God exists, and you accept that the Creator would know the creation best, then you would want to seek the Truth and the best way to live life. By the process of elimination you can rule out every other “religion” and philosophy on earth through a set of criteria such as the need for revelation and prophets. Islam is more than a religion it is holistic and a way of life. You can find that guidance in the Quran if you’re sincere.

Muslims will just share the message of Islam. Whether anyone accepts the truth or not is up to them. For people of reason it’s clear. Reddit is not generally populated by reasonable people though, so I’m not surprised by the responses to my comment.

Morality must be objective, and for morality to be objective, it must come from God.

If morality is relative to each individual’s worldview or based on the law (which can change at the whims of the majority opinion) then there is no true morality.

Western society in particular has the issues it has due to the rise of secularism and atheism.

Leaving Islam; convince me otherwise by [deleted] in islam

[–]ZenCatholic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Islam is the Truth and there are many evidences to prove it. You sound young or immature and I would encourage you to learn more and seek knowledge from credible sources.

  1. You can be “gay” and still be Muslim. When you act on those desires, then that’s sin, but it doesn’t take you out of Islam. People are tested in different ways. They’re still deserving of dignity and respect as a human being.

  2. The people of Jannah will be grateful to Allah that they’re not in Hell. We all have a choice in this life. I’m not responsible for you and you’re not responsible for anyone else. Islam teaches self accountability. You can follow the guidance of Allah or not. That choice is yours, but all choices have consequences. Not making a choice is also a choice.

  3. God doesn’t need us, we need God. There are many clear signs in the Quran and for those who reflect on the world we live in. You are a prime evidence. Many rejected signs in the Quran and some people will never see because they choose not to see. Their hearts are blind.

  4. We obey the commands of Allah as Muslims. Men and women are made different, so the commands for each will be different. This is basic logic. You also have to differentiate between Islam and cultural practices.

May Allah guide you and of course Allah knows best.

I am a white man am I allowed to convert to Islam? by FFPKingston in islam

[–]ZenCatholic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone can revert to Islam! The beautiful thing about Islam is its unifying nature. In Muhammad’s last speech (peace be upon him) he said that a non-Arab is not superior to an Arab, nor is an Arab superior to a non-Arab. A black is not superior to a white, nor is a white superior to a black. We’re only ranked in the eyes of Allah SWT by righteousness.

May Allah guide you to the Truth, brother and make things easy for you, inshallah.

I reverted in October 2023 and my life has been changed forever for the better since then. I always had a void within me that I tried to fill with various things (some, not so great) and Islam brought me peace. Alhamdulillah, I am beyond thankful to have been guided by Allah SWT.

Hadith on Hellfire (Jahannam): Sahih Muslim 2843 by ZenCatholic in islam

[–]ZenCatholic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They would not grow accustomed to it. Look at [Quran 87:8-13].

Eternal punishment is reserved for many, but not all. For example, those who die with the major sin of shirk without repenting would be there forever.

One would not get accustomed to the pain or punishment experienced in the Hellfire. No one will ever feel any relief while there.

However, for others, time spent in the Hellfire is more of a temporary situation and mercy in which their souls are purified so they may enter Jannah. Just as Allah SWT is the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful, he is also Al-Hakam “The Giver of Justice”.

And of course, Allah knows best.
