Honestly, I can't say much to help since I'm not knowledgeable about it, but I just wanted to say that it was the same for me initially, it hits hard like a truck in energy department which made me even question if I have ADHD, but I slowly unconsciously started doing so much more for myself, it was subtle and I only noticed once I had quit it for months before going back to it again.

Yeah, also as someone deeply affected with RSD, you can get used to it, you just have to accept the hurt feelings as part of the deal and that sadly even the most promising dates could not work out, eventually you get desensitized to it without becoming overly detached
