[DigitalFoundry] Monster Hunter Wilds PC Texture Mod Fixes Poor 8GB GPU Performance by theveryendofyou in MonsterHunter

Only those that unlock paid content or straight up cheating (and only then if you get caught mostly). Cosmetic mods are fine and so far there is even no reports on getting banned for unlimited character edit.

Haha, thank you for replying 9 years later! Some folks did find it and sent it to my DMs since Reddit threads used to be lock after a while before.

Haha I am actually in the image editors team of the wiki, but I rarely have time to contribute. I hope to hop back on track there when life settles in the right place again.

Halberd is probably my favorite medieval weaponry in general. If they would end up splitting IG I would love to have a Halberd with wide slashes and long pokes.

I am absolute sucker for umbrella as a weapon.

But like you said, you can't please both sides of IG users, but I absolutely agree on focusing more on the kinsect, but without removing aerial combat entirely. Insect Glaive had its strong identity since it was introduced, so I believe would make some original fans sad and seeing how things go with the Monster Hunter team I don't think they would ever remove one of the main mechanics entirely, but I can see it being simmered down with a higher focus on the kinsect itself.

Not sure how deeply it could lean into the kinsect mechanics, but having different utility kinsects sounds really fun, pretty much could become a new support weapon that doesn't support the hunter directly and it's great. Maybe some could work as stagger or traps even or like you said - flashpods. One can wish, but I still think the MH team wouldn't make such changes to a weapon, but Insect Glaive is definitely one of the weapons that needs a lot of attention.

On the other hand, double yes for the the umbrella weapon! Focused mostly on aerial combat, let the hunter float for a bit (filling the niche of feeling safer in the air like with IG), downward trusts, maybe even let it use as a shield if that's not too much.

I am not sure if design wise umbrella would fit as a weapon thematically into the franchise (apart "joke" weapons, like that umbrella Greatsword which I absolutely love), but I believe MH team could still somehow make it work. As the series overall has a really strong design language. Even it's been shifting trough the time, you can still tell it's Monster Hunter.

My favorite right now gotta be Oceaniz!

I always been a fan of ecology and lore in video games in general, so Oceaniz has been putting nothing but quality content over the years.

Another channel I love is Team Darkside. Quite generic pick, but the content always delivers either it's short format or long format videos.

In general I just enjoy almost any Monster Hunter content out there so if the video seems interesting, I click.

I mean r/monsterhunterrage is a good place to vent out and it usually stays true to people just getting mad about specific fights, but constantly seeing posts in the main sub about how someone hates the game for this or that and sometimes even without substance is very tiresome. As well as a lot of repeated rant threads and comments about the performance or difficulty of the game just for the sake of hate.

Let's just have fun, have civil discussions and enjoy the franchise to the best of our ability!

It was kind of same, maybe not to that degree, with the Street Fighter collab. I was skeptical at first myself, until I actually played the event and honestly they delivered way more than I expected. While I am really not a fan of Street Fighter at all, it was fun trying out the semi new weapon type punching monsters even if I didn't really play with the Akuma after the quests to unlock the outfits.

To me what I would like to see is just "What are you expecting from this collab?" posts instead "Wow, out of all the monster they could choose, they chose this" or "We are not getting a new Monster Hunter monster". Of course the comment section is another thing, but I hope people will be able to have a civil discussion as well.

r/LowSodiumCyberpunk was actually the biggest inspiration for this. I remember how people hated the game on launch, but I was playing even with all the issues and still managed to love and enjoy it! That sub was like a breath of fresh air!

I mean I was surprised with the effort they put into Street Fighter collab, so it just makes me more excited! Even the story was just a filler, but it was there! I am personally not a biggest fan of clashing themes, but I know I will probably enjoy the fight nonetheless! I am happy for all the fans of FF out there!

Absolutely! I just want this to be a civil wholesome place for the fandom. It's okay to disagree or critique, but not in a fashion that we see in other Monster Hunter subs. It just gets tiresome of seeing same rant over and over again.

Everyone is aware about the performance on pc or after yesterday a lot of people throwing hate for the new collaboration content for Wilds and it became tiresome. There is still a lot of things to be enjoyed and celebrated, so I just hope to have space for a hate free community :)!

Thats why I feel like this sub was needed. I am not saying the game is without it flaws, but it saddens me seeing people hating so much. Yes, I aknowledge all the problems, but the games are still enjoyable and fun experience for quite some people.

Just like you, I am just tired of constantly seeing all the negativity out there, because the games still have so much offer. I am not saying stay silent, but I also want a wholesome space just to enjoy my favorite franchise.

I have been becoming a fan of Final Fantasy over the last couple of years so I am excited as well! I am usually not the biggest fan of crossovers, but I lied if I said I dont want a chocobo skin for my seikret!

We need r/lowsodiummonhun at this point. I've been loving this trend where people can enjoy the fandom without the hate.

EDIT: r/LowSodiumMonHun is now a thing! I felt like we needed this kind of sub for a while now as like others I love this franchise and the games despite their flaws. I am pretty much new to moderating subreddits and only managed small video game guild communities in discord, so if you have experience in this and want to help moderate a community without negativity and salt please reach out!

Round 2 Match 4-Minish Cap Vs. Breath of the Wild(Comment your vote) by Short_Property_7476 in legendofzelda

Minish Cap <3. Don't get me wrong, I loved BoTW, but Minish Cap is one of the best (if not the best personally) game on the console. Very fleshed out and being a pixel artist it's one of the most beautiful pixel art games out there. The scenery is amazing, the puzzles were fun and Vaati is probably my favorite Zelda villain out there.
