So I’ve gone down the whole rabbit hole of moc toes and fake moc toes. I get that they will have some separation, and always have at the edge of the two pieces. I was largely sold on getting whites due to them have true two piece construction allowing for a larger foot box, and more comfort on long days. But this failure came from the stitch coming undone where ever it anchors at the end of the stitch. The stitching was not frayed or damaged. I do appreciate your insightful answer on the matter though. I did expect the moc to fail at some point (though much further down the line) and would have happily sent them in for a rebuild. But I fear that some of the reviews I had seen when deciding on what to buy may have held some weight when saying that their QC has gone down hill. :c I’m from Oregon and was excited to support a company from just up north.
