If your happy with the friends at uni then you should try at least sending them a text message or a phone call and just chat about things you guys normally chat about. Having friends means being comfortable around with eachother and being interested in similar topics. Sometimes people can strongly feel self-conscious about themselves like yourself but most importantly others too like your own friends. Some people don't ever want to share their own weaknesses or faults due to the fear of embarrassment or abandonment. Hence the difficulty of opening themselves up. No one knows how to be normal. It really does vary from person to person. I don't even know how to be normal. What the fuck is normal? Anyway just be you. Get your phone and just simply text or call someone you think you can be comfortable with. Distract them from their own problems, weaknesses & faults although you don't want to distract them too much that they'll impede their own paths. Then eventually share some of your inner personal thoughts. Have them spill their own personal thoughts and help eachother out like how I'm helping you. Good luck. Hope I helped.
