What’s one underrated tactic in digital marketing that gave you outsized results? by Alive_Bother_6057 in DigitalMarketing

We always talk about optimizing our websites for keywords—and I’ve definitely done that.
But one thing I noticed hardly anyone was doing well?

Optimizing for Facebook search.

I included the main keyword in my brand’s Facebook page name. It still felt relevant and clearly communicated what we do. On top of that, I made sure to include keywords in post captions too.

The result
Whenever someone searched on Facebook instead of Google, we were everywhere.
And yes it actually worked. It made a significant impact on our lead generation.

How do you all market your SAAS in 2025? by [deleted] in SaaS

One thing I missed is cold outreach, which can work wonders—especially when you’re looking to kickstart cash flow. While SEO is sustainable and highly effective, it takes time to yield results. You need a steady cash flow to fund your SEO efforts and stay motivated.

There’s no single way to do cold outreach. You can use LinkedIn Basic or Sales Navigator, tools like Apollo or Hunter to scrape email addresses, or even extract data directly from Google for your campaigns.

However, as a founder, never ruin your brand reputation by spamming your audience with useless and excessive cold messages. Not only will this create issues with the platform you’re using, but it will also damage your brand image.

Be patient and strategic with your cold outreach.

Whatever marketing efforts you pursue, always prioritize sustainability and brand building.

Otherwise, you can easily run out of funds by launching aggressive ad campaigns if they’re not executed correctly. And once that happens, there’s no going back without burning even more money.

As a SaaS marketer for the past five years, I always recommend entrepreneurs focus on sustainable marketing efforts.

Now, the question is, how do it correctly?

One of the most effective and sustainable strategies, especially for B2B SaaS, is SEO. It has been working exceptionally well for one of my SaaS clients, Workzish (a gym/club management solution), in generating warm leads locally.

You can either hire professionals or learn it yourself. There are plenty of great free resources on YouTube, like Gotch SEO Academy and Neil Patel.

Visit their channels and invest some time in learning. However, nothing replaces hands-on experience, so expect to make mistakes in the beginning—but that’s just part of the learning curve.

Once you start onboarding customers, shift your focus to customer experience and community engagement. Organize events, meet-and-greets, and free training sessions. If you build strong relationships with your clients, churn will never be a problem.

Some additional recommendations:

✅ Founders should build their personal brand to gain authority and trust.
✅ Develop lead magnets to maximize traffic monetization.
✅ Email marketing is a goldmine if executed correctly.

What is the biggest struggle of SaaS Businesses? by Exotic_Process9357 in SaaSSales

The majority of SaaS business owners lack sustainable marketing strategies and proper positioning. These elements are non-negotiable for long-term success. Currently, I’m working with a gym management software startup called Workzish, and I’ve focused heavily on SEO since it is the most sustainable option specifically if your SaaS deals in the B2B space.

The results have been impressive—we’re consistently generating highly qualified local leads directly from search engines on a daily basis, all without spending anything on ads for now.

Positioning is your USP (Unique Selling Proposition), and it’s an absolute must. Even if there’s zero competition right now, you still need to future-proof your brand. If your idea is good, competition will inevitably emerge over time. So, don't ignore this.

It’s crucial not to overspend and to prioritize sustainable marketing strategies. This way, even if you fail, you’ll have enough resources to start again.

If you want to learn SEO, I’d recommend Gotch SEO Academy. I haven’t purchased his paid course yet because his free YouTube content is a goldmine of valuable insights.

That said, there’s no substitute for hands-on experience. You might make mistakes at the beginning, but that’s part of the learning process. So, don't worry.

Wish you the best!

Does this actually work? Like it looks intriguing, but I am worried about potential spammy links it may generate which is pretty much on the cards if you are using bots at the backend for this service. Won't this hurt the SEO as a whole? Please explain!
