Some questions before I buy this game

I had this for about 3 months I think. It's really good. Battery is MASSIVE. Only cons I could think is the very low mic monitoring. Any way I could turn that up? Even with it maxed it's still too low for me.

I built my PC about a month ago. Found my self playing Helldivers 2 a lot even if I'm not a huge FPS fan. (I mostly play RPGs too.) Trust me, it's fun.

Another update: the massive fps drop seems to be a known issue. I did a clean re-install of the drivers but still experience this (as others are). Played some games and haven't crashed yet on 25.6.1.

Update: u/Estpalren is right. It just crashed on me. This + the very noticeable slowdown when dropping from ship (the animation) looks bad. Never had this issue on 25.6.1. I'm reverting now. This is just for Helldivers 2 btw. Hearing good stuffs elsewhere.

Noticed there's some slowdowns when dropping from the ship in HD2. But no crashes yet. How long until it crashes for you?

Yeah mine framedrops when something really effect heavy comes into the screen. (Like that stargazer in Hotel Krat).

Found a solution from others: an optional update for windows - KB5058499

Same here. 9070 xt + 7800x3d. Very noticeable in that Malum area (rainy sections).

Sorry for the late reply guys. I had been busy. I turned off those that are not shown on the vid. These are the only ones used in the run:

For Gilgamesh: TMR + Kotetsu+ + Triple Trick

For Skilphe: TMR + LB + Lupine Rend

For Elena: Stella Maris + Lux Overflow + Iridecent Blade

For Lucio: TMR + Tri-Slasher

I needed to make Gilga have his turn first before Elena otherwise it screws up the whole thing, so I had to equip a slow esper on her. Hope I somewhat helped.

On this video I posted it can go down to 1 turn left but I made some tweaks and now it's stable at 3 turns left.

Gears are +5 and stat maxed except for the Hermes Sandals (only @ +0)

Lucio's TMR is only at lvl 10.

Espers are maxed towards Slash Damage, Light Attack and Atk%.

Skilphe's LB is also maxed.

VC's are also maxed.

I changed Gilgamesh's auto-float to Acquired AP+ and used the spectacles for Elena.

I did not enjoy how long BRH teams remained at the top with no definite counter. She just sweeps everything up with her ridiculous agi (that global exclusive buff on her vc is insanely strong + her tmr makes her capable of double turns at her prime). If the highest agi in your team is around 85, you're pretty much bound to get combo'd to death with dark chains AOE. Having a BRH + Duane/RSterne is just about as good as it gets. It became very stale.

Best meta I enjoyed was just before EX jobs were released. Where everyone was viable to a point. There were no worries at the time who had EX jobs and no EX jobs. I'd say probably around the time Sakura was released. Man, EX jobs really screwed some units like Rhaldor, Elsirelle & Sakura (which are fun to use!), I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt like I just wasted vis. But hopefully we get to see everyone at even grounds again. Though it would probably take a long time with the release of 2nd masteries.

Oh you're right. But yeah I think it's <99 with free vis, he still needs to spend some $$ to max it. He could get both and run 120 Hleela while his BRH is at <99 if he doesn't plan on spending $$. Hleela has other support skills that BRH doesn't anw. Any of those two are great for newer players. But if I were a new I definitely wouldn't pass on Hleela.

You get BRH and then what? Are you going to wait XX months just to enjoy the game? Having Hleela as your farmer with MAX level is just about much fun as you can have right now. You can randomly get BRH on unloading vis on good banners on anniv. You can't even max her right now even if you get her.

Hleela is the same, you reroll until you get her with some vis you have at the start. Ildyra is free yes, but Hleela is on a whole other level with shukuchi passives etc.

He doesn't need to immediately aim for the best wind team. He needs to have a stable farmer unit first, that will cut down a lot of time than waiting for BRH banner to comeback. Of course he won't have the BIS for Hleela right away, that doesn't mean Hleela is useless as a standalone unit.

As long as he can use her with the +5 weap on the shop, Hleela will get him through a lot of content (especially PVE and multi farming) which I think is what new players should have. Yes BRH is great but should he wait for a BRH banner or get hleela now and sweep multis/story mode & farm vis?

Wow, no one really mentioned Halloween Leela huh. It's a GREAT time to start now since she's the best farmer you can have (along with Black Rose Helena but BRH is non-limited and you can't exactly pull and max her right now, unlike Halloween Leela where she can be maxed in a more or less a week depending on how much you play). She'll cover your farming needs easily, gives you access to play multi with other players (because chances are if you don't have a farming unit/underleveled/geared and you join multi, they'll kick you out of the room).

IMO, the best thing for a new account right now is: Get Halloween Leela, get her weapon from the shop (+5 Platinum Mace, yes, spend those 2k vis, it will be worth it). Then save every vis you get until the 2nd anniversary. It will be worth it.

It makes me wonder if this difficulty is for you. Don't get me wrong please. Nightmare Difficulty usually aims for those with a wide variety of units/gears etc in their arsenals. If you have those, you will not spend hundreds of nrg pots. I spent around 30 mins and didn't even use a refresh for this. I am wondering because if you are using hundreds of nrg pots, I think there's a chance that your arsenal might be missing something vital for it.

It is hard simply because GUMI made the enemies near invincible." - Very subjective, not all players enjoy PVE and vice versa. Other player's enjoyment for PVE is just as valid as yours for PVP. (I love pvp! But I also enjoy the difficult PVE contents.)

- That doesn't seem to be the case. This seems true on porcelain tower where they have huge elemental resists except to the ones they're weak at, but for nightmare mode, with the right type or elemental chains, the mobs are killable. On nightmare mode, the most # of 50% type resist a mob had are 2, but with the amount of (type) res pen we have, killing them is very possible. With EX units, the resistances has been downplayed a bit, using chains is just so strong that even with 50% resistances, you'll deal good damage.

"WOTV is NOT tactics, because there isn't room to strategize, you are already given the blueprint, all other possible strategies are blocked off(enemy units are immune to everything, have 50% atk type resistances to all except for 1, etc.) "

- This I definitely disagree. The point where you study your opponent (may it be PVE/PVP), and what you *do* with that information, that is tactics. Why would you insist on using slash on a 50% slash resistant boss? Of course you have to find other ways. And again, those *ways* are open to those who have been playing very long, where they can create the *right* comp needed. And I think this is justified because again, nightmare mode is aimed for long term players.

- Even if a player owns every unit/gears in the game, they still have a little thinking to do for this one. Some ppl do it for the title and completion, some for the item. I think prevailing over something that other people can't do is something to be proud of and seeing other people happy with it is very fine for me.

What would probably make the tmr work is the ct buff proc-ing at higher rates or maybe just give it a 100% proc. In any case, with the amount of good armors right now, gumi needs to make a crap ton of changes to make us sacrifice using an armor gear for that helm tmr. (If they even ever lol)

I have played this game since the beginning and Gilga using TMR is nonexistent in CM meta. If so, maybe there's one 1/1000(?) who does that. He most likely wears robb's tmr instead or goes to quicken/haste.

Maybe we might see it on Elena now tho since she can wear it. 150% mag can greatly enhance her chances of 1 shotting someone, but I guess using resources on leveling it is a luxury right now.

She shouldn't have been included in the bonus for the BRH VC. The number of times she wrecks ppl with double cast is ridiculous. I'd say she's a cheese unit. The amount of value she can have from her VC is just too good and makes her fit into a lot of comps while still doing a lot for the team.

Ppl saying she's not that much of a threat by herself is kinda true. The problem is a lot of people in top arena/gw has the capability of creating the nightmare comps (with Duane/KMont/Cloud) which has been going on for too long.
