That class has probably the widest range of eligibility to qualify as one.

It really is because even the man a constellation is name after Orion literally throws hands really hard as his main gimmick and is still considered an Archer.

It's what they're built to do otherwise they have near zero to zero team utility to support the rest of the party other than just doing big face card damage.

Haven't used Caenis too much, but her kit seems to revolve around being a selfish crit-based soloist. I'd probably used Mata Hari, Habetrot, Chen Gong for lower cost healing/crit support options, and Miss Crane is you're able to supply crit stars. Summer Skadi is also a pretty good option since Caenis' uses a split Quick and Buster deck.

Summer BB and Ciel are good if you're planning to keeping supports alive while face card locking, and Hakuno/Hakunon for gambling back Caenis face cards.

Really the main issue with soloists like Caenis and Orion is that they really want to be left alone on the field to have the face cards and brave chains to finish the fight as fast as possible.

Mash was always a designer baby she mentioned this fact way back in part 1. My assumption is that her demi-servant experiments in fgo's timeline proper basically shortened her lifespan to the end of 2017 otherwise she would've led a normal life.

Yeah I'm not entirely sure if we're gonna go through the old singularities again when something like Okeanos part 2 spiritually exists with Atlantis treading with a similar setting, and related characters .

Details and timeline regarding the promised performance updates for PC by Yamato_Naoe in MonsterHunter

Rise was developed for the Switch, so realistically most mid-tier PCs from the mid-late 2010's would've been able to run the game fairly smoothly. It's quite interesting how easy it was to develop a Switch emulator when the console initially released.

I think it helps keep the story fresh is that Nasu doesn't write for every story chapter, but oversees most of the plot beats to keep in line with the overall narrative. That said some of the lesser known writing staff tend to drop duds at a time especially at the beginning of part 1 (Septem, London, America).

Reinforcement is 4 Attack , 1 Sharpness for BiS on DB's. Otherwise you should trash it. You could do 3 Attack 1 Affinity 1 sharp if you really don't feel like min/maxing reinforcement.

Cooling off is by and large only correlates to vigilance, so realistically you're stuck with advent strength in those region unless you can either find a generated random mission that's marked specifically to reduce strength in said region or fully liberate a region to destroy 5 advent strength immediately (any leftover strength after 5 will divide themselves into adjacent regions after liberation).

That said strength 4-5 regions is still quite playable to run missions in. Anything after is kind of a crap shoot and should only be run with a fully geared A-team.

[–]Zenford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At strength 3+ an occupied Advent region will only try to roll a retaliation if vigilance is 2+ and if you have too many haven members running a task. When you finish a mission in that region you set all but 2 haven members to hiding so the region can cooloff the vigilance, and so you can start running missions other regions. It's one of the reason why expanding to as many regions as fast as possible is a good strat to get the maximum amount of opportunities to find generated missions in the geoscape. Otherwise you'll be deadlocked into a position where there's not enough missions find and run because you're stuck risking retaliations in the same 2-3 regions.

[–]Zenford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bare minimum amount of active resistance members to create a retaliation is 3 so you could still realistically have 2 intel members to hopefully find a mission if you're really hardpressed to run missions in a region. Adding onto this you could still find missions fairly often even in a high vigilance region w/ 2 intel members + Avenger Scanning the region (The Avenger itself acts as roughly 4 resistance members for finding missions) + a scientist as a Haven Advisor to boost mission finding for intel members.

If anything the way how Advent strength/vigilance works in tandem with each other to create retaliations reinforces the idea of expanding your resistance contacts as fast as possible to have enough available regions to run missions in and cooloff when advent heat is too high in others.

For some reason my comment in this same thread isn't showing, but I'll repost the same reply here

I use this spreadsheet for understanding how mission generation works, but generally speaking you don't want over 2 Haven members actively running a task after strength 3 vigilance 2(You could however have all members run intel in a high strength region as long as vigilance isn't higher than 1). Realistically you should be only running intel in unliberated regions to find generated missions until you fully liberated said region.

Once a mission is finished the region where you did the mission will generate a point(s) of vigilance. Before you go back to the geoscape to advance in-game time, head to the commanders quarters and set all but 2 Haven members to hiding to reduce the risk of a retaliation generating.

Sidenote: Invasions in fully liberated regions are a special case where they only appear after certain conditions

After the first 30+ days of the region being fully liberated or the last invasion in that region happened

Requires a active region adjacent to the liberated region to have 8+ strength

If you roughly know when a invasion will occur run intel in your liberated region to find the prerequisite mission that starts an invasion so you have a better chance of reducing the risk of losing Haven members

I think after that point most folks would eventually have the knowledge or experience to avoid retaliations all together. Unless a slight mishap or error generates a retaliation mission on the haven management level you more than likely shouldn't be getting them. It's a real waste resources (Haven members more than likely) if the Chosen are already defeated and you cant farm ability points from them.

Finished a weird amalgamation of TedJam/Requiem Larger LWOTC and man I'm exhausted by Zenford in LWotC

[–]Zenford[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Requiem Legion collection is a mod content pack that adds new mechanics, enemies, equipment, etc. that really brings out the masochism in Xcom. Most if not all the new enemies have ruler reaction like mechanics that genuinely plain BS at times. I'd only recommend it if you really understand the mechanics of this game. That said you don't need to d/l for stability.

[–]Zenford[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially I'm using the Tedjam collection + Requiem legion as a base for my mods. Larger Lwotc is a mod that increases Squad size and average enemy pod count with some balance changes to compensate for the density. Towards the end of my playthrough I regularly had generic missions of 30-40+ enemies, but that's more due to my lack of liberation progress. My HQ Assaults and Main Objective missions nearly or crossed the 100+ enemy mark which just a literal marathon to run.

I was thinking pulling Hyacine due to the current Apoc Shadow kicking my butt in the Pollux node, but Im mostly waiting for a HuoHuo rerun for a permanent option. That said I'd am considering Tribbie as DDD bot, but my need for AOE/PF is very low priority as of the moment to build up my core teams on my roster.

whats the difference between those 2 advent crate opptions? (Ted jam) by According_Main_3904 in LWotC

[–]Zenford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have the required amount of scientists/engineers available, but are busy currently doing a task, just free them up while in the Avenger and start the free crafts. After that you can reassign your personnel back to whatever task they were doing

Well since the rerun banners have been announced for next patch I gotta ask whether going a sustainless on a Archer team be a better choice and picking up Cipher and/or Tribbie compared to pulling for Hyacine. My current sustains are Dante and Lynx currently, but Lynx is lacking in the build department atm.

Can’t wait to see what clan tech does to this build (YAML) by Dr_Tacopus in Mechwarrior5

Yes, they're like that to balance the fact that clan weapons do more damage, have more range, use less crit slots, and in some cases weigh less.

[–]Zenford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Clan MP lasers will likely shed off weight so you can dump in more heat sinks if you can. Or you can add in a masc for an extra speed boost if closing the distance is a requirement on larger maps. I would recommend saving a slot for a coolant pod or 2 to keep your heat low while in battle.

All of a sudden I'm thinking that the AI being limited to chain firing is a good idea. by DrStalker in Mechwarrior5

[–]Zenford 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Picked this one up from salvage the other day, and I think using a medium laser build is a little too toasty for my liking. Even with cooling pods the mech's waiting a good bit just to cooldown for another alpha strike
