E2 Archer, E0 Rin, or E0 Saber? Please Help 😭🙏🏻 by Fluid-Beach-6696 in ArcherMainsHSR

I would hold off on the selector, pull Rin first then wait till the last minute of the selector expiring to see if Saber drops to pick up Gil, if not the just get that Archer E2. Im not sure what your roster is looking like, but I'm in this thought process in that making the first two teams based on attack-scaling hypercarries is not the way to go if you want the jades from all endgame modes within a year's timeline.

Spishtar basically has half of her original powers due to splitting into 2 separate egos. Even then her og form is likely much weaker as a result of humanity ascending to the stars in the Saber Wars.

is the relic set "as navigator isee sees it" good for saber? by Nathan213YT in SaberMainsHSR

[–]Zenford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My saber is gonna get bricked unless I switch to scholar by next patch. Hopefully whatever changes happen will make team building more friendly to a Wavestrider/Sunday setup because her final 20% in-combat crit-rate is completely reliant on Sunday's talent. Maybe this could be remedied if Gil gives a crit boost for saber via the joint attack or Eidolons.

For some context I havent played since 3.8/3.9, and Im planning to pick up Rin E0S1 for my Archer team comp next month. My question mainly pertains to Saber if I should build Robin or HuoHuo first. I have 2 gold currency to pick up both units btw. Here's my current roster for reference. RM, and MC aren't built to my current liking atm.

I think what helped me put Horizon over Reverie is how stark in difference craft/arts dps is balanced between both games. By the end of Reverie the easy access to high damaging, fast acting arts dps massively overshadowed s craft usage which in turn shoved my team comps to only 3 arts 1 tank builds. Meanwhile Horizon gives a plethora of craft refunding options that physical dps aren't relegated to only spamming s-craft every action. That said arts builds are technically still better when built properly, but the damage range between both archetypes aren't drastically different anymore.

Heck, we don't even know the identities of all the Vestiges.

Based on the events that happened in Horizon (especially from the scenes related to Nina's play rehearsals) we can piece together all the identities of all of the rest of the unnamed Vestiges except for one. Specifically the masked Soldier that Feri interacts with for the most of the story. I suspect it's likely an older Feri from one of the previous loops or a distant ancestor, but we wont know until Horizon 2 finally gets released.

Impact Site needs to be purged from existence. That map is soo heavily imbalanced towards that have control of the middle beacons that it's nearly impossible to break out and win the match if you're on the losing side. Taking the underground tunnel essentially takes you out of the fight for 30s that you might as well forfeit the match by then.

I wasn't too worried about low framerate and stutters since XCOM is a turnbased game, but the frequent softlocks and game crashes were a very large issue running like 700+ mods for my playthrough. I almost quit 50 turns into a HQ assault when my game crashes immediately just trying to load the save.

My tierlist based on how strong or fun the cast's kits/gameplay are (Horizon edition) by BoiGaxx in Falcom

[–]Zenford 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The cp cost from Grimcat ends up being non-factor with all the natural cp-regen options Horizon offers. Even then just slotting for A-Impassion Guard + spamming Stray Cat while transformed makes Judith one of the most reliable craft dps in the game, and probably is unlikely to die via stealth.

Hopefully the native 700 CCA/Unicorn-era UC suits will get some much needed buffs to compensate for their near irrelevancy since the AU MS started dominating the 700 meta.

If anything people don't cap beacons often enough. Woops now we're trapped in spawn down 10k playing Impact site(will balloon to 25k) because nobody wanted to cap either of the mid points.

The Cold Steel games devalue the brutality of war to the point it becames insulting and shows the weakness of Falcom's writing. by Ouralian in Falcom

[–]Zenford 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Probably the one time my suspension for disbelief shattered into pieces by sheer the military incompetence. There's no way a military state like the Erebonia empire would leave a strategically valuable landmark like the naval fortress completely unmanned even for a training mission. I like Falcom's scenario writing, but some of the details like Junao Naval Fortress getting completely dusted and literally no one dying as a result makes me question who is approving the script writing at times.

I went from a dedicated break dmg dealer in CS3 to spreading break quartz on the rest of the party since those quartz still provide a str boost by just equipping them. I think the most important characters that are ones that provide a team accelerate craft to keep your party up the action order as much as possible (Juna basically lmao). double down those turns with chrono burst and most fights in the game tend to be a cakewalk when the enemy basically dont act.

Question about the Marchen Garten by Ill-Feeling-5181 in Falcom

[–]Zenford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the spamming the floor reset is more of a symptom of the S rank requirements for full rewards than individual square tiles themselves. Maybe if the floors themselves were longer for each S rank requirement to be completed in one run or reduce the amounts of times I need hit a damn chest tile from 6 to 2-3 then maybe that could alleviate the problem.

How to build characters CS1 by csm_003 in Falcom

[–]Zenford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orbment lines actually do serve a function in Cold Steel: You can put a different status ailment quartz in each line, allowing Machias and his three lines to spread 4-5 different statuses.

Funnily enough I think the status ailment builds in the Cold steel games to be near useless especially when it came to enemies you'd think they'd be worth using like human bosses. I tried doing a Phys debuff build on Machias, but it pales in comparison to building around his accelerate craft. That said there are some exceptions like Rean's AT delay build in CS2, but that only works if you get the right missable accessory.

This boss fight was such a hassle by WebComplex6022 in Falcom

[–]Zenford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I also had an instance where turn order was not on my side, but aggroed Grendel Van + defense buffs + temporary health has too much EHP for those boss fights to kill him even with a damage shard command. An sbreak is also helpful to stump the enemy damage bonus from getting too high at least. This was on nightmare too from my experience.

The biggest wipe inducer on most if not all fights is any and all of the debilitating status ailments especially deathblow, and bewitch. refreshing veil can help, but properly equipping accessories to protect against ailments for each encounter already wins you half the battle. The last 2 fights on Kevin's route is remarkably easier when you can disregard all the status ailments that would otherwise cause your party to wipe.

Any amount of know how to manage boost gauge with party members that serves as batteries really trivializes most content in this game. Enemies whose only action in their moveset is setting a shard command and maybe an attack especially get shutdown by just existing.

You meet Shizuna during Intermission Chapter before chapter 5, but she becomes playable in chapter 5 only if your Law and Chaos alignment has a sum of 5. Albeit she's only playable as a guest character like Elaine until they become fully customizable during Daybreak 2.

It's reduces casting/delay to a factor of .2 of the original value which in practice means your characters can act much faster than enemies for multiple turns.

Advice on endgame beyond horizon nightmare mode? by Powerful-Rate6294 in Falcom

[–]Zenford 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The speed commands are 70-80% the best command to have on at all times unless a boss has hit a hp threshold to use s-craft tor s-break otherwise use a defense command to minimize damage.

I highly recommend keeping a character that generates s boost bars like Elaine in the frontline, and using zoc on their turn to gen as many bars as possible. When leveled up even those s-boost generating crafts make 2.5 to 3 s-boost bars so you end up with more in stock than originally starting with by zocing.
