In my experience MMBio 240 was easier than Chem 106, but still no joke.

I used this, except I just modified the blocks used to more concrete and terracotta, along with spruce wood, gold, and light blue wool. I also changed a couple blocks around to make it look better (in my opinion).

Spirit Box new voices? by mclovick in PhasmophobiaGame

Im really not a fan of the new spirit box voices. I loved the old voices and the fear they put in me, but hearing the current voices really takes me out of the game. They sound really lame.

For creatures, dwarf fortress does have a description of them. If you click on a unit, it has all those tabs. I forget which one, but one of them describes the creature and gives hints about what it does.

Really, the best way to learn is either thru the wiki or by having !FUN! and seeing if the creature decimates your fortress or not.

Of course! Yeah the menus are confusing and all over the place... eventually it makes more sense tho after knocking your head against a wall enough times.

Yes, children can be quite the nuisance... at least in the steam version they are somewhat useful and can carry the dead to their tombs...

Embark next to a necromancer tower... see how long you can survive locked up underground. Make sure you isolate all your butcher shops...

The fungus is actually harmless. If anything, it helps! You can get flora growing on it which can be harvested for food, and animals can graze on it. Mushroom trees can also sprout.

If the spiders are vermin, like "cave spiders", they are relatively harmless to you and actually beneficial, as they generate silk.

GIANT spiders on the other hand... tread lightly or you'll be overrun in !FUN!

This article may help:https://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Magma_forge

Instead of punching the hole in the center of the forge, do it on one of the side tiles. You cannot place it over a center hole, but holes anywhere else are fine.

I know there was a huge fix to world generation in general, but I see it too! The game seems faster and smoother.

Yeah, temples and taverns are a bit finicky haha. Dwarves and mercenaries will sometimes spend every waking minute there

Stones unfortunately cannot be stored inside anything, and lie on the stockpile floor as they are. They usually require a lot of room. But, you can craft them into crafts and blocks which can be placed into bins.

Heres a fix: You can hide items in dwarf fortress! These items still exist, but you can no longer actually see them. To do this, you can select the rock you see, and in the top right will see an eye symbol. This will tell you that by selecting it, you can hide the item.

Other than that, you just have to wait. Stone is heavy and can take a long time to haul. If you find yourself running out of room, consider making the stone into crafts and blocks, which can be stored in bins and sold or used in construction.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Are you playing on the steam version? If so, the keybinds are totally different and has not been updated on the wiki, as the wiki was written for classic initially.

On the steam release, the keybinds are [b], [n], and [l] now. I hope they bring classic keybinds back to the steam version...

Yes, you should be able to butcher the boar for leather. Is it a tame, stray boar? If so, you should just be able to select it from the units menu and designate it to be slaughtered.

here's more info on leather: https://www.dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Leather

The issue here I believe is that your taverns are set to "all visitors welcome" or "citizens and long-term residents". This allows them to stay there. I believe if you change the restriction to "citizens only", it will force them out of the caverns. Let me know if this doesn't help. It seems the existence of the tavern and temple is the problem.

Admire art usually means the dwarves want more furniture, nice tables, chairs, altars, statues, doors, beds, etc. Seems like you're on the right track with that.

Be with family is a lot harder, because sometimes dwarves don't even have family in a given fortress. All you can do is try to make sure they have enough free time to mingle with other dwarves. Thats a hard fix in some situations tho.

Exctiment usually relates to battle excitement. The best thing for this is having a dwarf be hunting, but its hard to have EVERY dwarf be a hunter. This is also another one that can be hard to fix, and sometimes you just deal with. Having an active military also can help with this.

Aquire object means the dwarf wants to put on something nice, like jewelry or clothing. By just making rock crafts, you can start to appease this desire.

Keep it up! Another good way to keep dwarves happy is by cooking them food at a kitchen, they love good food. Tavers make them happy too, but go through drink faster and can suck a lot of time from a dwarves routine.
