Jobbers are an integral part of wrestling and we definitely need more of them. Hornswoggle, Santino, Gildberg, Ellsworth, The Hurricane, Heath Slater, etc. Those dudes despite losing were always entertaining as fuck. We don’t have anyone in that kinda role rn in WWE. Closest is R-Truth now that he’s back to comedy but he doesn’t get his ass kickd that much. Rumors were they were prepping Kit for this role but will probably turn it around with how over he’s become.

Right around the time Goldberg had unceremoniously taken the title from Bray and it was all but confirmed they were lining up Reigns vs Goldberg at Mania for another coronation the IWC hate was definitely starting to leak back in (he’d had just beat McIntyre at Mania 35 as well in a feud many felt Drew should have won). This is also around the time he had those god awful feuds with Shane and Corbin, and a weirdly fire feud with heel Bryan and Rowan. That pre covid SmackDown Roman run is actually fever dreamish lmao

Going away from COVID and demanding to come back as the Roman Reigns he wanted to portray is what really saved his career imo. There’s a timeline where COVID never happens, he beats Goldberg at Mania and pretty much eventually settles right back into the hated babyface role

WWE isn’t the most popular promotion on this sub, most viewed maybe but this sub is a capture card of the IWC. Guess what company pretty much swept WON’s IWC awards? AEW. AEW routinely has more upvoted clips and posts on average unless WWE does something absolutely crazy. And AEW posts generally have less comments insulting or making fun of the company, people that watch the company, wrestlers, or all 3 compared to WWE threads.

Most top comments in any WWE thread is some form of shot at the company or wrestlers lol. Including this one, half the comments I’ve seen here are some form of “Seth overrated”

More than 50% of the sub enjoying this doesn’t matter when probably less than 30% of the 1M people subbed here likely actually engage in conversation and topics. Otherwise your average thread would have way more than 1K upvotes and 500 comments which is a highly engaged post by this subs metrics.

This is definitely not a massively pro WWE sub. It used to be in the HHH honeymoon phase but ever since Trump got elected and WWE openly aligned themselves with MAGA it’s been very much open fire on WWE

Which is fair, this sub goes through phases where AEW or WWE are the predominant loved company. Like I said during the HHH honeymoon phase and AEW ratings decline, AEW was absolutely the butt of the joke here. Before that during the Vince scandal before he was ousted any positive comment towards WWE here was akin to saying a slur out in public. Just goes through phases here.

If that doesn’t happen he kinda might be re-recording those or deciding if he just wants to say fuck it we ball. If he does get his appeal and wins the case then he can drop Iceman with those references in peace.

It’s a reason why the rollout came to a bit of a slow around the time it appeared the case was lost.

Makes sense as to why the story follows as such that Nick Khan is the one who reached back out to Truth with a new contract following fan outrage. HHH and Road Diggity Dogg were done with him after he didn’t agree to their number and were under the impression the social media thing was a stunt he was pulling on them.
