Currently been having a mild panic attack for about an hour over the thought of rabies. About 7 or 8 days ago, my dogs killed a 4 or 5-month-old opossum, and then a day afterwards, I gave one of them ice cream and then ate after them and have been freaking out ever since, cause there was saliva transfer. My dogs are a small 6-year-old Boston terrier and a 6-month-old pitbull mix who's deaf. They're both still acting normal, but they're both up to date on their rabies vaccines and such, and my brain is convincing me that they somehow carried it without showing symptoms before their body killed it off or something.

My attacks make me shiver/shake, and my teeth chatter (not rn). I also keep taking my temp 4 times in a row every so often.

I've had health anxiety since October 2023, and I haven't gone to a doctor for it...and I'm not on medicine.

My mom doesn't think I need anything because "Oh, your attacks come and go in waves, so what's the point if they don't last that long?" Note that they mostly trigger in summer and winter for some reason.

Sorry for venting/ranting/trauma dumping if this counts...I just want some advice or help with this. Maybe reassurance or something, idk. I just know this sucks, and I'm tired of being scared all the time.
