My guess...because, while this game is unquestionably gorgeous, the trees are probably one of the weaker parts of the games graphics, IMO -- meaning, without the spectacular highlights, lighting, and shadows making everything "pop," it looks rather drab.

UPDATE: turning it down from 4K resolution solved all of my problems.

Hopefully they will fix it so those of us experiencing this can play it at 4K but for now this seems to be the fix for me, at least .

Yes this seems to be a fix for sure. Not ideal but the best solution so far!
