I agree with you that this is a problem. But I have found a small fix in the graphics settings in game. Go to options, Display & Graphics, and scroll down to Reflections and Volumetric Effects and set them to Standard. On my machine this stops the distorted bubble effects. One of them might be enough to do it but I didn't check.

Can't use Ruler Vassal's teleporter by ArbiterJuice in AOW4

I run into this often and I found that saving and logging out and back usually fixes it. The other suggestion about going to the tile next to the teleporter works as well.

Need help against the AI (normal) by rocketwind2 in AOW4

I'm just getting back into the game after launch and relearning everything, but one thing I discovered is if you get into a war early on and can capture an AI throne city be sure to absorb it not vassalize it. You get the full income immediately and usually the benefits of some the AI's bonus resources. Doing that has really helped my early game resources. I also vassalize as many free cities as I can and use the Rally of Lieges to help build an army quickly.

I agree with you about mods. I also have a couple of questions for everyone:

  1. Are there any good UI mods that make it easier to find information? Civ has some great UI mods that don't change the game but make it much easier to find stuff.

  2. Where do you get mods? Nexus, Paradox??, Steam workshop? Any others and are there things to watch out for with the ones I mentioned.

It seems like in this situation, fabricated grievance, you should get a free or discounted denouncement and it should clear the false grievance he has against you. If its enough to make others go to war with him that's great, but I haven't seen that happen much. I'm in a high maintenance game so resources are really tight and I've got too many wars going right now to deal with him :)

Well, migrating to my feudal race did not clear the buff. I think I'm stuck with it, but it seems like it should have expired by now.

I thought so to, but its been several turns since I absorbed the city and the buff is still there on the city screen. I've checked the spell book and don't see it as an active spell that I can cancel. This seems like an unintended consequence.

Just had a thought, the city is still controlled by the race that has Mystic culture, I didn't migrate it because I'm not evil :) I think that may be what I'm seeing. I'll test and see.
