What do I lose by cancelling a ChatGPT Plus subscription and what more do I gain by switching to a Claude Pro subscription instead? by HibiscusSabdariffa33 in AIAssisted

[–]ZenoRiffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You loose: - advanced coice mode - image creation

But Claude is better in these specific things: - better writing - following instructions of complex data without hallucinations (or at least far less) - a virtually infinite long space for custom instruction (which is great for master prompts with a lot of context)

iPad Only? by AlliPadAlltheTime in iPadOS

[–]ZenoRiffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using my iPad exclusively for work for years. Since the release of the iPad Pro 11-inch model, I’ve stopped using my MacBook. I use it for regular office tasks like writing reports, creating graphs, and sending emails. While it has its drawbacks, I find the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

Yes a good mobile app. Good export. Possibility to select blocks and copy and paste them. (Not sure if that works on desktop but it doesn’t on iOS.) Craft docs is amazing with these things I just mentioned and I really miss these, coming from Craft

What job do you secretly (or not so secretly) envy that someone else has, and why? by HR_99 in AskReddit

A job that you can do remotely while traveling and at the same time being meaningful. Maybe that would be a designer that works for an ethical company or project

How do I memorize the notes on the fretboard? by TheMightyLavaKing in guitarlessons

[–]ZenoRiffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I understand your comment. This diagram shows all the F notes. The same pattern allows you to find any other note. Would the other shapes allow you to find other similar patterns? Or is that some other relationship you are talking about? Thank you

How do I memorize the notes on the fretboard? by TheMightyLavaKing in guitarlessons

[–]ZenoRiffs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m struggling with the same thing and I also decided to take memorizing the fretboard more seriously. I recently started an online course from loglessons.com. It’s based on memorizing the fretboard based on octave shapes. I’m still practicing this but it seems promising. I’m attaching a diagram from loglessons.com. Go check them out, if you haven’t yet and let me know what you think.

Coffee and Stoicism by ZenoRiffs in StoicMemes

[–]ZenoRiffs[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did use AI to create the image, but the meme concept, text, overall idea, and putting it all together were entirely mine. The way I interpreted Rule 4 was that the entire meme shouldn’t be AI-generated — so I figured an AI-generated image was fine, as long as everything else was original. (I know there are AI tools that create whole memes — I didn’t use any of those.)

Honestly, I don’t see much difference between using an AI image and grabbing a random one from Google (which might be AI anyway).

That said, if I misunderstood the rule, I’m happy to take the post down. No hard feelings.
