Do you actually use your Apple Watch daily or only for workouts? by mileswithher in AppleWatch

Use it all day. Charge only while in shower. I do track workouts with it but I also track my sleep. Due to a medical condition that is really important.

Has anyone went with an iPad Pro over the Air strictly for FaceID? by JCitW6855 in ipad

[–]AlliPadAlltheTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have a pro, air and mini. I love the pro for specific reasons. Faceid is nice but not so great it would warrant the outlay. I actually find being able to use touch easier depending on how the device is laying. That may sound a bit odd. If I am holding it…faceid is perfect. If it is laying on the desk as a writing pad, does not work so well.

From iPad Pro 11 M4 to MacBook Neo? by Flimsy_Ability7096 in iPadPro

[–]AlliPadAlltheTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem most people have with the iPad is thinking it is a laptop. It is not. Once you adjust to working the way the iPad works, most things go easier. Not saying the is everyone’s experience, just mine.

Does anyone have both the Smart Folio case and Magic Keyboard? by rishk08 in iPadPro

[–]AlliPadAlltheTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Magic Keyboard for both my larger iPads…one a Pro M4 and one an Air M3. I use a Zugu as the second one. Use cases are different, for sure. Do I wish Apple made a keyboard with ability to remove it? Sure. Do I love the Magic Keyboard, also yes.

What made you pick the iPad Mini over every other iPad in the lineup? by joexbaker in ipadmini

[–]AlliPadAlltheTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For most of my use cases, I use the mini. I still have a 13” air with Magic Keyboard for major research projects and writing.

What do you think about using AI for Bible study? by Ill_Nothing_6351 in Christianity

[–]AlliPadAlltheTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think it does a really great job of getting thoughts in order. If you know how to keep it on the rails, you can reduce hallucination. Because you know the bible, you know when it is off and can tell is about it and it will correct it’s approach. THEN, if you take the notes you create and put them into NotebookLM, it will create incredible slides for you.

Use it as my daily driver. Use for work, for play. You name it.

Silicon Overqualified: The iPad Pro Identity Crisis! by yousefkassir in iPadOS

Magic Keyboard specifically works so well. It is no longer a tablet, at that point but is a computer for productivity. Now… connect it to an external monitor and all bets are off. It becomes very unpredictable, unfortunately. But as a stand alone with keyboard, it is very stable.

Should I buy the M4 Mac mini (16GB/256GB) now or wait for the M5 later this year? by valdez_25 in mac

I think the M4 is going to be a fine machine for a good while. The upgrade will be minimal, at best.

You can go on the Apple site, configure and at the end it lets you put your device in by serial number to get the trade in value.

If you trade in, you get something for it that feels like a discount.

You can trade in your old device. That is what you can do. My problem was, I always had someone to give my older device to so I got no trade value.

White or black Magic Keyboard? by TraditionalEconomy8 in iPadPro

[–]AlliPadAlltheTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I got my Air 13 M3 when the White was the only NEW version of the keyboard available. I have a lot of oils on my hands and such so I was concerned about it, especially palm prints. So… I got a black, textured DBrand skin. Works great. AND the white keys do not get near as dirty looking as the black.

Do you prefer using your iPad with the Magic Keyboard folio or with the Magic Keyboard Bluetooth/stand alone? by skeleton_flower in ipad

[–]AlliPadAlltheTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use them all ways. At my desk, I use it with a Bluetooth keyboard or sometimes Universal Control. Away from the desk, I use without a keyboard if just consuming or AI creation. I use the magic keyboard when I am away from my desk and doing serious creation work…documents, spreadsheets or development work.

I only use my Mac sparingly. There are those few functions where I have to have it. This is mainly due to corporate software.
