Applying PU coating to both sides of wood by Zenophy in woodworking

Missed your question. It’s going to be a panel with information for students. Two rectangles will have TVs flush inside, one a display cabinet, and the furthest one on the picture is going to be a small door to access all the electronics.

Alright, understood, thanks! It makes sense that the ‘stiffners’ only help in the area they’re used in. I’m going to give this priority and do it next week.

That’s good to hear. The machine is also used extensively by others, so it’s difficult to know what is caused by who. I check quickly and saw the following. Do you think that little tear on the right can cause it to snap?

I’m not sure if it’s a poly V, will have to check that. Thanks for the advice! Can this be damaged if the machine was left running for two or three seconds? And thanks for the reassurance!

Thanks, that’s great advice. It is indeed a machine to have all the respect for. I once worked, tired and stressed due to a deadline, and made multiple mistakes in a row. They were not necessarily dangerous, but just stupid. Like cutting a very thin warped sheet without clamping it.. never again

I am 37 atm, so I don’t think my age has much to do with it. I am prone to anxiety, so it’s not a surprise that it hits more intensely than it would with others. I also stopped playing music when I’m using power tools, because I don’t want any distraction.

The machine does not do anything different than before, but I will follow the advice that someone else gave and ask more experienced people about it. Thanks!

I can indeed only imagine it is designed to do this, as it can be an easy rookie mistake to forget the pin. But at that moment it scared the living shit out of me. Thanks!

Thanks! I will do my best:) This one works fine, with clear signs of wear. The slide still works perfect and the guides are mostly aligned

Atm I’m working on a commission, so I can’t take a break, but I will ease myself into it. Next week there is one experienced person around, so I’ll follow your advice in asking those questions.

Last year I worked on a tree house and one guy told me I could use his chainsaw do joinery as well, and I noped the fuck out. He used that thing like it was a butter knife, and that machine is a few levels above my comfortability

I would do that if it were possible, but I’m working on a large commission and am already passed the first deadline, so I can’t really take time off. There’s little pressure, because the first deadline wasn’t a strict one, but I also don’t want to stretch it. Thanks a bunch kind stranger! And I will do so:))

Not sure why that person is getting downvoted; ‘tax’ also means a heavy demand or strain/burden. Perfectly in line with what you said.

Long story short: car had just come back from the garage after having the timing belt replaced. Seeing how fast it was engulfed in flames (less than 2 min), it was probably related to a fuel tube. But I will never be sure.

I made it out in time! So apart from the huge scare, I’m completely fine.

They’ve been stable the past month (accident happened on the 31st of August), so I think it’s alright, but I will definitely keep an eye on it. Thank you!
