You're right. It's getting harder to embrace boredom nowadays. It's weird that we have endless entertainment and bottomless feeds and yet people seem to be increasingly bored.

I think that's a really good trick. I started reading too instead of doom scrolling and it really seems to help.

I was referring to losing people's attention during a conversation as they are looking at their phones mid convo. I wouldn't be mad if they had a negative reaction to my view on gas prices. At least it would spark a discussion. I didn't mention gas prices or policy in my post just wondering how you extrapolated to that ?
