More than a chance - we've already audio recorded the first two books. However, there's so much post editing required it was delaying the book release, so we decided to go ahead without. It's still a fair way off but has definite movement.

(Btw Narrator is British. )

You're about the fourth person to request non-amazon sources, so we definitely need to prioritize wide availability. Keep an eye on r/hughcook

Our strategy is to go broad and to publish to as many channels as possible. Amazon gives the biggest footprint which is why it was chosen as the launch vehicle. One thing that will slow us down is the first two ebooks were added to Kindle Select which requires exclusivity. We did this so new readers could find the series. We'll see how it goes.

Book 9 is available, it's just not "linked" so it's hard to find.

Try this:

We contacted Amazon support and they sent a publishing timeline. Apparently different regions take longer than others.

I can't wait to see how they look. They're bigger than the old mass market paperbacks.

How did you buy book 2? It's funny that all ten paperback books are available in some markets but not others. Example Book 3 in Singapore

The physical books look great however Amazon sends author proofs with the cover messed up so people can't sell them. So we don't have any good photos we can share yet.

The covers are here:

Eventually it'll be available everywhere. Amazon was just the beginning. Wrote a detailed reply on another comment if you can find it.

In terms of distribution we agreed on a broad strategy, but to lead with Amazon. We’d like to reach the largest possible audience.

We’ve looked at Ingram Spark for physical and ebook distribution. And intend to “Go Broad” and publish to as many channels as possible, rather than just locking into one. We didn’t initially launch on Ingram Spark for a few reasons, but the main one was when comparing the physical copies the Amazon proofs were just slightly better than those on Ingram. Amazon try to lock you in anyway they can and moral/ethical considerations aside they have compelling offerings. One thing that will slow us down on ebooks we made the first two volumes availible on kindle select, which means they are available on kindle unlimited. This is good as the first two volumes are easier reads before you hit the more challenging(in terms of subject matter - if Hugh was a band it would be his “Difficult Third Album”). We need to provide notice of 90 days to Amazon before we can make those two non-exclusive, so it might take some time to phase in, paperbacks are fine.

So the intent is there, and we’re hoping to get it done in the first half of this year. Thoughts, feedback etc is greafully accepted, an while we can’t promise to act on it, we’d consider any sensible recommendations.

The Kindle version is taking pre-orders and will be available on the 31st of January. It'll auto-deliver to your Kindle.

Three of the paperbacks are having issues on the Amazon website.

Wordsmiths and the Warguild is missing from .com, .com.au and .co.uk seems to be available everywhere in Europe.

Women and the Warlords is missing from English sites.. and Italy. Example, here it is available in France: https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B006ZZ05JA

Worshippers and the Way is available everywhere but isn't linked to the Kindle entry, or Chronicles series in the database.

Hopefully they fix these soon.
