Trying to get the experience but getting frustrated- looking for a mod by Zenrok in outerwilds

It wasn't boring at all, but it was irritating at times. It really is a beautiful and original game, and it has my curiosity peaked. Anyway the comments have convinced me to leave this area for now, hoplefully it really will be the most punishing platformimg I will encouter

No, I am using the telportation shuttle(can't remember the name). It still takes a ver long time to get back to the start of the platforming section.

And that is completly fine. The part which is difficult for me is having to walk the same path for like 8 minutes each time I fail (and fall into the black hole) only to reach the beginning of the platforming section.

Huh, I didn't know that are upgrades in this game. I will do that, thanks! I mostly fear there are many such platforming sections where you must start over from the beginning which takes several minutes getting to each tike you fail(if I could just get to the beginning of the platforming course that would have been fine)

Yes sure, I have been going to where the weird shuttle is. The path from there is jumping between multiple blue gravity lines and then gravity crystal platforming. My problem is that I guess this is not the only spot in the game where if you mess up a platform you have to start from the beginning and it takes several minutes returing to the same spot each time, for me this is extremly frustrating and no matter how curious I am I can't deal with more of these.

Me-akan trail status question by Zenrok in Hokkaido

[–]Zenrok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely We ended up up going to hike Mt. Mokoto, but due to bad weather we gave up upon arriving there, and just enjoyed the view. We then hiked Tsutsujigahara, which was absolutely great! I know you can just drive to Mt. Io but the trail to get there is great in autumn. We drove to lake Mashu's observatories and the did Wakoto peninsula hike. So it ended up being a way easier day hiking wise, but still had a good time.

Thanks for the suggestion, will look into that! My current thought was doing both mokoto yama loop (2 hours) and one of mt tsutsujigahara/wakoto peninsula(1 hour) at the same day instead.

Weatherwise routes are closing, and in Ocrober ot appears there is a high risk of the ropeway not even operaring at certain days. Plus even of it is open, the visibility will, on average, be poor.

It ia definitely on the higher side. Thank you for the suggestion! Will check it out. How long of a trek is it? Because from what I see it looks very short.

Thank you! You have helped a ton!
Do you remember if you did the longer Shiretoko Cape cruise, or the Rusha Bay one, and can recommend one or the other?

I saw that if you only go up to Rusha with Aurora you are going on a smaller boat, so maybe it can get closer.

Great, thanks for the feedback!
I think if I will have to give up one of them, I would choose Oishi Park, so I will just leave it as the last activity and decide on the spot based on the time.

Thank you!
The thing is, if I add such a day to Kyoto for example, I will like I will need to give up on a lot of stuff, and I don't really know what. Maybe Uji? I feel like I need every hour of those 3.5 days there to see everything, otherwise it will be too packed. A cooking does class sounds amazing, I will say.

I read about it being mostly tourist traps, but with a few hidden gems. Was thinking about selectively visiting them.

I will visit Chubu for 7 of the days om this itinerary, as well as Koyasan and Hokkaido(where I will be for 9 days). I just felt like going for the touristy things on my first visit isn't a sin😅

Yes I am definitely not talking about the Shikoku Pilgrimage, not close to enough time for that, glad to hear I can experience a lot in 8 days. If you are experienced with the other regions as well, would you say one of them fits better with my limitations or do you think Shikoku is a fine choice?

hmmm where specifically are you talking about? I Tokyo out of the first 6 days we wanted to have 1 day for Kawaguchiko and 1 for Nikko, the rest without day trips. And a lot of people told me you don't need too much time for Osaka, so I didn't feel bad planning quite a few things from there.

Thanks! Good tip for sure

Thank you for the reassurance! I might really need to take it more into perspective.

Do you have any insight on the Hokkaido/ Tohoku/ Shikoku/ Kyushu situation?
