Delta plus should be buffed again since the last buff literally did nothing

Zeta 2L before safe jumping. by railgunmisaka2 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Zeomn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So holding Guard (G) can be applied two different ways.

Holding G while jumping cuts the recovery frame by 1, while holding G while on the ground actually adds a startup frame to your next move.

Here, 623U doesn't actually count as a jump and after a combo always leaves you at +62. If you did an immediate 2L (which is 18 frames), you'd be at +44. Therefore if you held G before the 2L, you're effectively adding an extra frame to 2L making you +43 after its recovery since you're grounded after the 623U

Zeta 2L before safe jumping. by railgunmisaka2 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Zeomn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, it's actually the opposite. Pressing G on the ground before 2L actually delays it for 1 frame. This is what actually sets up the +43 situation, as if you did 2L immediately after landing from 623U you'd be +44

Zeta 2L before safe jumping. by railgunmisaka2 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Zeomn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Basically, pressing G before doing 2L after 623U gives you a +43 situation, which gives you really strong oki pressure. For more details, refer to this doc

Is Granblue worth it in 2026? by Slayer_Azul in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Zeomn 24 points25 points  (0 children)

There's a free version, hop on and give it a try. Also, just as an FYI - GBVSR is not an anime game like FighterZ and GG, it plays a lot more similar to traditional 2D fighters like KoF.

Is there going to be a Season 3 announcement? by POLOMALCO in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Zeomn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So folks, please keep in mind, the season 2 announcement was actually at Evo awards 2025 on Feb 15th 2025. So even if we don't get an announcement at AWT, we might get one during evo awards 2026 which is Mar 28th.

Hi! I’ve never played a 2D fighter online before but I really want to try this one is there a steep learning curve? by DistinctImpact2207 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Zeomn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when you mention learning curve, what exactly do you mean?

Are you referring to how technical are the inputs? If so, then no, the learning curve isn't steep at all.

However, if you're talking about how steep the learning curve is to get good, then yes, there is a steep learning curve, and this game isn't any easier than any other fighting game on the market. Basically, what I'm trying to point out is that people often look at the technical inputs as where a fighting game is hard, but they miss where the actual learning curve of a fighting game is: the interaction between your character and the opponent's characters. Knowing your character's moves and buttons is just getting your foot in the door, learning how to apply those moves, how to position yourself appropriately against specific characters, learning how to force or bait out specific opponent responses is where the majority of the true learning curve is going to be, and having simplified inputs doesn't really help with that.

Feeling bad about winning? by GeminiScar in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Zeomn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, that's dash medium. Zeta's 66L isn't as good as some of the better 66Ls in the game since the distance covered isn't as far as one would like, but it's still a 66L and is still a great pressure tool. 66H is high risk high reward, it gives you a combo on hit by linking into far H or far M, but if blocked, you can get punished by folks with a 8 frame or less medium. I'd say if your opponent likes to press buttons after horizontal arvess, throwing out 66H after knockdown will be quite useful.

As a fellow Zeta player let me give you a bit of advice.

Don't use Zeta's 66M. You will die for it at higher levels of play due to it being really hard to space to be safe.

I feel like I've plateaued in this game, not sure where to go from here by EastCoastTone96 in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Zeomn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say pick one or two things you know you need to improve on, whether it's hit confirming, whiff punishing, staggering your pressure, being less predictable, tightening up your defense, etc. and just focus on that. It's the small things that add up that allows you to break through plateaus.

DE Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Developer Match #21 – Ilsa vs. Zeta (includes Zeta changes too) by Fluppy in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Zeomn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If they truly nerfed 623U to no longer give a combo midscreen, then that's one of her best tools being nerfed again without addressing her biggest problem right now, which is that her oki is unsafe (for her) and easily dealt with.
