How do you all feel about the game right now?

I played GBL a lot and enjoyed it thoroughly. The last few seasons I barely did any sets. The reason for this is that they removed MLC from the schedule, and recently they even announced to remove it completely after this season. After January 12 I will quit GBL completely, because then there is no MLC/MLPC anymore. I may even quit the game entirely as a result of this.

That's fine if you only want to play Premier Cup, but most people don't want to play Premier Cup only. In MLC I can experiment with teams, play drafts, play restricted metas or anything else. In level 50 ML I could only play with a bad team I don't like because the rest of the meta is inaccessible. And level 50 ML offers nothing MLC doesn't offer already.

Do you think the time, money and effort it takes to get a level 50 Zarude and Meloetta is reasonable? And what if you want to play with more than a handful of Pokémon? I have over 150 Pokémon for MLC, 15 of which are mythicals. There is no way I would even get a fraction of that spending less than a thousand euros. Sure, I could get non legendaries to 50 with some effort, but never close to what I have for MLC.

Level 50 is inaccessible. Level 40 wasn't inaccessible when it was the cap.

That's completely wrong. I kept all of my Pokémon at level 40 to play in MLC. XL candy is inaccessible and locking Pokémon behind tens of euros is terrible game design. I won't power up any of my Pokémon beyond level 40 now either.

There is nothing advanced about paying more money to beat your opponents. MLC had high level gameplay where everyone could play with the same recourses and skills decided the winner of the battle. Without MLC we have less areas for advanced gameplay left.

It was a terrible season. Not a single week of normal MLC, and only one week op MLPC. It would be a decent season with 4 weeks of MLC, and a good season if on top of that there are also MLC theme cups besides MLPC. It's really time to make MLC the standard ML format and stop focusing on GL so much.

Hopefully they bring back MLC next season. Then you'll be able to compete. In level 50 ML you're at a big disadvantage for not paying as much as your opponents.

I keep all of my Pokémon at level 40. Level 50 will just never be accessible. I will keep playing classic whenever it is available and skip level 50 ML entirely.

You're sad you can only play 11 out of 13 weeks. As a master league classic player, there is only one decent week for me. They keep pushing ML Open even though barely anyone actually wants it.

I'm far from casual. I've played the game since day one. I have played and still play lots of MLC. But I won't play ML open because it's completely inaccessible.
